Benzedrex and/or DXM and Health Problems?

Ok, this post is going to be pathetic but I really don't care. I've been off opiates for 2 months but can't stay sober. As of now since I can't drink everyday I'm taking 2 inhalers of Benzedrex every other day (not the cotton but the menthol and flavored oil shit I am swallowing) and about 300 mg of DXM daily. I feel like shit most of the time and I can't orgasm at all or even keep an erection most of the time. Does anyone know if this shit is slowly killing me? The active ingredient in Benzedrex, or the additives, I don't know which it would be. Or is the stimulant stuff itself just fucking with my blood pressure and general well-being? Thanks for any help.

i thought the benzedrex could fuck up your body some way or another but i dont know much about it; the dxm is mangling your boner but thats just short term.

even if it wont kill you, you know that shits not good for you, especially every day. it might take awhile, but dxm will eventually take its toll on your brain

Will DXM fuck up my boner even 24 hours after a dose of around 300mg? I hope that's all it is.

And yeah man I know it's not good, but what can I do. Soon I'll probably just cave and go back to opiates but until then I want to know it's just short-term boner problems.

If you are hell-bent on going back on opiates, and you don't want to over-indulge, and only do it once in a while, I suggest you look at going to your college's student health center and complaining of a cough. It should get you at least some kind of decent cough syrup with hydrocodone in it. Just a thought. It's definitely better than doing menthol inhalers and DXM. And, you may already know this, but if you're really worried about your health, you NEED to only do products that contain DXM (like Robitussin that just has DXM in it) and NOT products that contain other things, like anti-histamines, APAP, decongestants, etc. More people od on cough syrup because they take Nyquil or Coricedin. Just do DXM by itself. And I've never done the inhalers that you're talking about, but I know what they are. I wouldn't think those additives to prevent abuse could be good for you in the long term. Maybe once a month or something like that would be okay, but definitely not every other day. Also, have you thought of just taking up pot? It's more acceptable to most than other drugs, is prevalent in college, and it's not as bad on your body as other things. I'm not sure if I'd consider a 9-month pod habit long enough or severe enough to warrant Suboxone therapy, and definitely not long enough for MMT. Hell, I think to even be diagnosed with opioid dependence disorder (which is what they call it when you're on maintenance) you have to have been addicted for at least a year (to opiates, so 9 months of opiates and 3 months of another drug wouldn't be the same. It has to be a year of opiates).

1) what is benzedrez inhalers? are they like vicks inhalers?

2) why??? does this do anthing good for you AT ALL???

if you want to stop using drugs, stop using drugs
if you want to stay high, then find yourself some real drugs instead of drinking children's cherry tussin

Benzedrex inhalers are similar to vicks inhalers but whereas vicks is l-levmetamfetamine (levo methamphetamine where as crystal meth is dextro methamphetamine), benzedrex is propylhexedrine. Benzedrex is generally considered to feel better than vicks inhalers, and most people regard it higher than yellow jackets, sudafed, etc. basically the next best thing to pharmaceutical amps. In fact i've heard some people, not a LOT but definitely some, who like it better than ritalin.

I totally agree with Shelley, Either completely stop or go back in full swingin, Sounds like those inhalers and the dxm abused regularly like that will do ALOT more damage to your body then opiates will

Gosh i know u r trying ur best to "kick" opiates, but that other shit is 10X worse than the opiates ever could be. I would just go back to drinking...or honestly consider some kind of maintanence. Your brain is just craving SOME kind of buzz, but no matter what u give it, its still gonna crave until u put opiates in. This WILL go away with time, lots of time. With school coming up and all, i wish u the best. But these inhalers and dxm just don't sound like fun at all to me. I would totally quit that shit. If its that bad, they i hate to say it, but do opiates for like 2 days on, 5 days off or something like that. They say chippin' always catches up with ya tho, so i guess a habit would rear its ugly head, soon after that. How did u quit opiates, cold turkey? Was it your choice? It really sounds like u r struggling in most of ur posts lately. I would probably be doing the same SHIT, but like i posted to u before, i've found suboxone to be a wonder drug. Is there any way u would consider it???????????
