How the hell do you get a syringe in a jail.....I guess theres been stranger things to end up in there.

Sucks that was his 3rd strike and is now facing 25 to life for a syringe.

I believe 3 strike laws should only apply to violent crimes or for major distribution of narcotics.....but

for being in possesion of a syringe??? Not even dope....god damn....~

Your right John Walters (our illustrious Drug Czar) is a worthless piece of

feces who has his rotting, malfunctioning mind set in concrete.

When will these stupid pieces of shit realize drug crime isn't crime ( unless

it is crime that happens that the people doing it happen to have some drugs

also ) it's a medical issue. That shit about the weed just goes to show how

brazen and arrogant these god damn motherfuckers are and what were up

against in whats left of this country. .:jumping-s

Drug war???? fuck it.....

What we need in this damn country is the decriminalization of drug users. So much money

would be saved and could be used for such better things. It's why our schools suck ass, why

the government writes a bill that says no spending on unnessarry programs...like libraries, parks,

trauma centers....you know the unnessacary kind of shit....

What people do in their own household is their fuckin right. If there out in public running a muck,

driving intoxicated then yea...its a different story.

Why did pot become illegal, racist reasons. Why crack possesion faces 10 times harsher punishment

then cocaine.....racist. Its fucked up.

True....I don't know what the right answer is. But our jails are overflowing with non-violent people

that are in possesion of a gram of weed. I'm not saying legalize drugs, but just make punishment

a little lesser. Like paying a fine, like a traffic ticket. Not throwin in jail for a couple years.

How is the crime in Amsterdam. Prob not the ideal place to live but I think we should move a little in

that direction.

You know who are the #1 contributers of money to fighting "drugs" companys are. The alcohol and

tobacco industry. They just want to cram our heads into believing these products arenen't drugs.

There just like soda....only they casue the most deaths in America each year.

Pretty sure the 3 strike rule came about for racist reasons also. We have the most diverse pop.

in the world. Most gangs. This law is targeting these people. Hispanics, African-American. Wheres the

3 strike law in Ohio...?

Laws everywhere are fucked up. A guy in the UK got arrested and fined for a carrying a jawbreaker. As in, the candy. In Thailand drug smugglers get the death penalty, even though according to international law that's illegal, and citizens of other countries aren't supposed to be subjected to another country's punishment according to the UN. In Mexico a pharmacist will sell you prescription only drugs, then rat you out to the cops so that they both get paid.

The U.S. does not,at the present, recognise the ICC.For very obvious reasons.

The U.S. was, IMO, the first truly libertarian country, in it's foundation, and generation after generation has squandered our legacy, until now we have an undereducated, dumbed down single-issue voting machine, where we still coast on the hard work and social programs of previous generations...

Argentina, where I was raised, would always fall apart, since they had so many political parties, that no one group could get anything done, the unions voted to fill their pockets, the poor usually voted communist, and the rich periodically would thro a military junta into power, just to calm things down...while killing or "disappearing" those they didn't approve of...

But the education system, similar to the one in much of the orient, wasn't considered a "right," but a privilege where you had to study hard, learn about your own history, the history of the world, heavy math, and pass numerious difficult tests to pass each year, and comprehensive exams to get into *seventh* grade...so by the time you were one of the extremely lucky ones who graduated from the secondary(high school) you knew what was going on in the world...

Our education system is simply a warehousing place for the youth, and cash cow and welfare system for the teachers unions--no offense if yer in one...;-) --but jobs are guranteed by the huge amount of students, and it's also guaranteed that a high school diploma here, is a joke to the rest of the world, and why they laugh when we way we have "educated citizenry..." We don't, unless u do it on your own...

And most now vote the emotional single issues: abortion, war, and pocketbook of course, which is why even conservative union members, are heavily democratic voting...

It's too late, our country is going down the tubes, and I see the history---and state--of the U.S. as being similar to heroin in California: once good white powder, now full of cheap mexican tar....

Rant rant rant....:angry2:

You are a very observant wise person. You couldn't have hit my feelings and the truth more on the head. I just wonder what the hell everyone else is doing that they can't pay a little bit of attention to whats going on and figure this shit out.

And our country IS fucked. The next step is us becoming an american union with canada and/or mexico, at least as far as monetary concerns. Of course most of Canada seems to have more liberties than us.

I have an even stranger notion, which I don't even much like myself, but I figure our salvation might come eventually, by forming a federation of sorts, w/mexico and canada, and drop all the border nonsense...but only if they legalize opiates first, and tho mexico might be in favor of such a move...I gotta feeling Canada would nuke us at the idea ;-)

i gotta agree with you duckfeet, I don't believe much of Canada would stand behind a federation with the US. "We like to believe that we are different" But if it means the legalization of Opiates I'm all there!!! Where do i sign up :D

Yeh I think the federation is a very real possibility also. I think it will start with a new monetary system first though.

Edit: And yeh Im sure no self respecting canadian would want any part of the US. By the way has anyone seen that Marc Emory is running for Mayor in Vancouver?

just because the rich get richer doesn't mean the poor get poorer

those income gaps, as in "the gap between the rich and the poor just got bigger!" are totally biased
beause they use the same "rich" but not the same "poor" each time!

see, let's say you have an entry-level executive making 100k/year
vs an entry-level temp making 30k/year
the income gap here, is $70,000

lets say that 5 years later, that same executive is making 130k/year
he is still "the rich" being used to illustrate the income gap
but what about that entry-level temp? he also got a raise, maybe is making 60k/year now
but he is no longer "poor"!!!!
so we look at another entry-level temp who is making 30k/year
guess what happens when we compare him to that executive? the gap is now $100,000
but BOTH of the original parties are making more
while the "new poor" will be making money in time, if they work for it

so yeah, income gaps are bullshit
why can't the rich get richer and the poor get richer? why can't that happen?
here's a li'l secret: it can, and it does

btw i don't care if my actual numbers make no sense
i was just showing a comparison, not what folks actually earn... cause that i don't know!

Yes I am referring to the 2% that start the wars and make the executive decisions for petro companys and the Alan Greenspans. Oh and the that includes what I thought was the obvious that part of the 2% that starts the drug wars.

And shell what does is matter if your stats where true? So what if the "poor" where making 5k more a year.

Next Ill be hearing the govt and the 2% didnt make money off the Iran Contra affair.
