Four Days....

I'm counting down the days til my refil. I go on the 25th...but I'm not counting today(wed.) cause I'm not and I go first thing Monday morning so I'm not counting that, so in my sick, twisted mind, using poor arithmetic, I wound up at four!!!! How is that for Junky math!!!!:D

Of course, as I get closer to the refill date I get all anxious and worked up. Vivid drug dreams and cravings. Also, pain wise I am doing shitty and I have to keep reminding myself it is my fault for eating them too fast. I've been taking tylenol, aleve, ibuprofin and aspirin 'round the clock to no avail. I woke up yesterday and could barely hear...turns out that is one of the first symptoms of aspirin toxicity. So no more aspirin!!!

Amazing, I even overdo over the counter stuff. If I'm not running my life fast, furious, careless I get bored. Then when I do go fast and furious my life falls apart. I've never been able to find that middle ground...actually i have been on middle ground in the past and found that boring too.:rolleyes:

My habit blew out of control this last month and I ended up bangin about 150mgs of roxy at at time like 4-5 times a day. Coming down was such a fuckin nightmare I dont know how the hell I did it but I did. 3 WEEKS IS WAAAYYY TO LONG.

YES U ARE!!!! ;) try to keep busy during these next few days, i know its hard with horrible PAIN. What is your condition, if you dont mind me asking??? I do the same shit, so dont feel bad. ANd everytime i get my script i say "oh just today i'm gonna go crazy and TOMORROW i will stick to as prescribed" YEAH RIGHT! Never happens. Now i am about 10 days on Subs. and like u i am eating aleve and asprin like crazy, and now i feel like i have an ulcer. I guess its a no win situation. At least ur tolerance must go down a bit, going without anything. See with subs...ur tolerance doesn't go down, at least i dont think it does. It seems to work a TINY bit on pain for like an hour or two. But nothing like the pills did. But HEY i haven't found anything YET except for H that totally KILLS ALL pain. It dulls it, but its always there no matter WHAT i take. That is why i am taking a little break...i figure might as well do something else with my time other than obssess 24/7 about fuckin pills. Its been nice to do the things i used to enjoy, like reading,SHOPPING, doing my nails, CLEANING MY GOD DAM HOUSE....i literally think i didn't do a whole hell of alot in a day, except take pills. Oh well, i am sure it will be short lived. As sobriety sucks after awhile and u get bored as hell. But i've been trying to keep it on the positive note, and i'll have a coupla drinks at night to keep me doing SOME substance. LOL Well 4 days and counting, you are on the count down, girl. Is there anyone u can give them to, after your first coupla days, so u dont eat em all. I would rather have a few a day toward the end, than NONE!!!! Try to think of it like that.

Hey there, Oxy!!!! I always say that too: "today I'm gonna have as much as I want but TOMORROW I will take as prescribed!! never works for me either!!!! As for my condition (besides crazy!! LOL) I had a horseback riding accident almost 6 years ago and shatter a couple of vertabrae. They put in a bunch of hardware, including stabilizing rods and now I'm in constant pain!!! It sucks!!! I know it sounds stupid, but I would rather eat my whole RX in a week or so and be pain-free for that time than take as scripted and just have the "edge" taken off. For people w/o chronic pain, it might seem stupid, but being pain-free even for a little while is a gift. I'm gonna ask him for something else when I go. I figure there has to be something else out there that I haven't tried yet...ok, maybe not, but maybe I can try it again!!!!!!

I decided to recalculate my waiting time using junky math. Today doesn't count because it doesn't, Sunday doesn't count because I'm going to a horse show and monday doesn't count cause my appt. is first thing in the morning....That leaves me with Friday and Saturday! Two days!!!!

I called the Pharmacy 2 hours ago and they said they haven't heard anything but would call back and for me to call later today, Does anyone know how long these Prior Authorizations (PA) usually take. I have Horizon BC/BS of NJ and they take up to 48 hours for RX authorizations!!! Buncha' bullshit! Call your insurance company..squeeky wheel gets the oil!!!

I don't think it takes long at all. You give them your card, they punch it in the computer or call

With my insurance the doctor needs to call the insurance company and then a descision is made whether or not they will cover it. Keep bugging the doctor's office!!!!:D

Re-fill day is like a holiday to me (even though they are not my meds). Right now i'm living with someone who likes to share :D. I'll wake up in the morning to find 2-3 roxicodone 30's and some xanax, EVERY MORNING! He even snorts lines of roxi+xanax with me, he's such a good guy!:p

I'm waiting till he wakes up and then i'm gonna do a massive shot!!:D:D:D

The script without insurance( and this is generic) is $3196.00 for 120. But my insurance copay is only $10.00!!!:D They will only pay for the generic fent pops, not the Actiq brand, which is fine with me. Go figure...I am on Lamictal for epilepsy and my copay on that is $50.00, but the retail price on that is only 197.00. Go figure! Insurance is a complete racket! Though I am grateful for the $10.00 copay for the pops!!!!:D

Seriously, though...today is Saturday....just got to get thru today..tomorrow I have a busy day doing something I love so that will go quickly..then Monday it is Refill Time!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!! I'm sick of being in pain, which is my own fault for downing my pops like I do...But when I do it my way, I can get almost total pain relief...and like I said before, I would rather have a week of no pain then four weeks of just having the edge taken off. I'm gonna' ask him about another med...he is leery due to all the severe allergic reactions I have had with most medications....but there has to be something. He had mentioned methadone, but I have been off it for well over a year (1 1/2 maybe?) after being on MMT for issues related to my using, not my pain. I hated the done fog I was in and the high dose I was on didn't help my pain so I can't imagine the mere 20mgs. or so for chronic pain would do anything. Just praying this weekend goes by quickly!!!!

BUT YOU ARE RIGHT, today IS Saturday and you're sooo close. Always remember that this "downtime" is TERRIBLE for our minds, but AMAZING for our habit. The very first dose is the most amazing feeling when you're throwing yourself a line to climb out of the withdrawal pit. Your receptors will be much more sensitive and so forth. ....

i get my suckers, monday morning also, four boxes, fuckers will be gone in 7 days if that, but i share alot. im gonna try fer the 1200s. i odnt think ill gettem tho, ive only had em fer like 3 years, he said, hed prefer not to raise me till id been on them fer 10 years. he says once you hit the 1600 yer topped out. monday mornin come 11:00 am, ill be 6 suckers in and here typing as i nod. hey lolli, qustion.... have you ever heard of what they call " death rattles" ? i was in the hospital once, they were monitering my kidneys as i had like 4 more stones to pass, after passing 2, anyway my wife came and brought me 12 er 15 actiqs., obviously, i didnt tell the nurse, i was bein ivd fent, i didnt know because earlier they gave me a shot of 2 dilauded. anyway, my breathing got so fast and i couldnt getta a deep breath in, i started shaking, and went black, i told the nurse i was suckin on my pops, she got pissed at me, lectured me, and told me they call those the death rattles, and most people dont come back from the blackout. i only ask this because ive ready many of yer posts and you can put those pops down like i do. i mean i could do 9 -10 in one sitting. have you ever had anything like that happen to you?

I'm just now starting doctor appointments and going through physical therapy, which isn't working and I'm hoping my doc will refer me to a pain mgmt doc by xmas. What else were you Rx'd and for how long before the fents? I had a bad motorcycle wreck 2 years ago and my back has just been getting progressively worse and the pain isn't going away. I'm scared that I'll end up under the knife but I'm really praying I'll be on some OC or something else that's enjoyable and helps with the pain. :( Hit me up sometime

do you have an MRI. heres a good tip, after youve been takin VICSor PERCS or whatever fer a while, you say youve been researching online and all and yer very concerned about the amount of APAP, yada yada yada. blah blah blah, its not workin, i still hurt. thing is you cant get fent till you been on somthin fer a while, i mean like 6 months, a year. the shits to strong. you need to have a TOLORENCE to sumthin. it wasnt till i told my dr all the above and that im talkin like 12 -15 percs a day, that he finally gave me patches n suckers..... i can tell you fer sure ... i highly doubt youll ever get lollipops. thats a hard one.. you either had to be one of the trials way back when, or have cancer.

patience, do everything the dr. wants you to do.also know it mighty not go the way you want it to. they may go the ULTRAM route ROBAXINS, stuff like that. most importantly, is that yer shit is legit. aint hard for me cuz i got MRI and documents proving my illnesses.

I AM IN NO WAY ENDORSING OR SUPPORTING PEOPLE NOT IN PAIN AND DOCTOR SHOPPING TO GET HIGH. IT REALLY DOES HAVE A HUGE NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE PEOPLE WHO TRUELY LIVE DAY AFTER DAY IN MASSIVE PAIN. THERES PLENTY OF HEROIN AND POPPY AND OTHER WAYS TO GET HIGH WITHOUT FUCKIN OVER PEOPLE WHO NEED THESE MEDS FOR ANY DESCENT QUALITY OF LIFE. IN ORDER TO BE A HUSBAND AND A FATHER, TO GO TO WORK ON A DAILY BASIS. I CAN BE ON DISABILITY, I DONT HAVE TO WORK, I CHOOSE TO WORK SO MY KIDS DONT SEE THEIR FATHER ON THE COUCH ALL DA tHE MEDS ALLOW ME TO THAT.(btw, i aint knockin anyone on disability with children. its just my own personal decision)

Hey Westside! My history is that I had a very bad horseback riding accident 5 or so years ago and shattered a couple of vertebrae. Now I have a ton of hardware in my back...screws, pins, a metal plate and two rods.

I was prescribed a lot of different things such as vicodin, percocet, norco...those didn't help. I was on methadone(hated the foggy feeling and it didn't help with the pain. I was given Avinza; I had an anaphylactic reaction to that which sucked because it did help. I had some sort of reaction to almost everything I tried. The Actiq he tried because we were running out of options due to allergies. Every time I had a reaction, the PM doctor would count the pills and then we would dump them in the toilet. I must have flushed $500.00 worth of drugs(that's just my copay amount for insurance.....God only knows what the retail cost is!!!!!)

Sooooooooooo, that is how I got scripted the fent. I know it sounds like a lot of narcotics, but if I take them as prescribed (LOL) I only get 4 a day and they only help for about 45minutes to an hour...they work quickly, but they wear off quickly, too. So basically I have to pick 4x in a 24 hour period that I want the edge taken off my pain..then I have to suffer!:mad:
