What's the deal with Indianapolis? There's gotta be H here, I've cruised around the ghetto in the North and NE sides of the city, near the "state" & numbered streets to no avail. I'm used to the east coast open air scene. Anyone with any worthy advice?

Mexican black tar and brown powdered heroin are the most prevalent types. Southeast Asian and South American heroin reportedly also are available, but to a lesser extent. Heroin purity generally ranges from 30 percent to 70 percent. According to DEA, in the first quarter of FY2002, heroin in Indianapolis sold for $2,500 to $3,500 per ounce and $200 to $300 per gram. In northwestern Indiana (near Gary) it sold for $2,500 to $6,000 per ounce and $100 to $150 per gram.

Street gangs and local independent dealers typically travel to other cities including Chicago, Detroit and, in some cases, New York to purchase retail quantities of heroin to sell in Indiana. The heroin usually is packaged in 100-milligram quantities in small squares of aluminum foil. It is sold at open-air drug markets, public housing projects, private residences, and in gang-controlled communities.

Anyone else know anything at all? I'm wondering if there's powder or tar available in Indy. I'm guessing it might be a mix of both, some tar coming from down south and powder coming from Chicago/Detroit down i-65. There's also probably product coming in from the east coast. There's 2 million+ people in the metro area here, there HAS to be heroin somewhere. Googling "Indianapolis + heroin", "Indianapolis heroin bust", "indianapolis methadone clinic", "indianapolis bad neighborhood", "indianapolis projects heroin", "indianapolis ghetto", etc.

There's one methadone clinic; that's of no use since it's not a place that people hang around at, and I'm not really interested in soliciting people who are possibly trying to stay clean. There's no needle exchange (which I wish there was regardless of trying to score since it'd be really useful to people here who can't get syringes. Fortunately I don't have such a problem but they can be really strict here in Indiana at pharmacies when trying to buy syringes and as a consequence of this I've known plenty of people who decide to forgo the need for using a fresh spike every time.

I know there is tar all over Ohio, in fact I can get really dank tar in Columbus, OH but it's pretty far from where I'm at. I'm curious if it's mostly tar or powder in Indianapolis. I'm guessing there's not really any open airs in the area. Is the culture just different? I understand that heroin users, and specifically IV users are a very tight knit community which may be nigh impossible to penetrate in a place like Indianapolis. I'm going to try asking some hookers and some homeless people, but it seems like most people just want to smoke rocks or sell me rocks instead.

Apparently a lot of gangs come down from Chicago and Detroit to deal shit here since less availability = higher prices. I know for a fact that in my small town in southern Indiana close to Indianapolis the local jail is full with gangbangers and crack dealers from Detroit...4 guys just got arrested for selling crack today actually lol.

I'm DEFINITELY not trying to look for sources, if this thread is a problem just let me know and I can close it or mods feel free to close it. I searched and couldn't find anything on Indianapolis or Indiana period. Maybe there's a street scene in Louisville?

Indianapolis is a funny place, the people are anyway. I visit Indianapolis regularly, 3-4 times a year. I personally don't use H since I am lucky enough to get pharmies RXd to me. So I have never had to score myself but I have been everywhere in this city and have been going there for quite sometime. I also read the local newspaper whenever I'm there and I have seen numerous busts for H; many, many, many more for Crack though and even some Meth busts. So putting together info from my personal experiences when traveling in the city and suburbs (Both Marion and Hamilton Counties), info I have read in the local news, and a few googles.


Stay away from the north suburbs in Hamilton county like Carmel, Fishers, and Zionsville; mostly upper class residential and commercial, definitely no "open air" scenes up there.

Indianapolis was one the the cities that participates/d in the Federal "Weed and Seed" program, a federally funded program to weed out drug dealing and plant small business in areas where drug trafficking was a major problem. There are sections of city/neighborhoods that are "Weed and Seed" areas. If you google a bit you will find some of this same info. In my experience the "Weed and Seed" program was very ineffective because it still provided no jobs/income; hello that's why people sell drugs. We have areas of several blocks in the city I live in that are "Weed and Seed" and the drug activity hasn't been reduced one bit. I live in in a small city in Western PA and you can drive threw one of these "Weed and Seed" areas anytime of day or night and score Crack off of up to 15 different dealers standing on corners, in alleys, at convience stores, or walking up and down the street.

In Northeast Indianapolis, Brightwood is a neighborhood known for drug trafficking, sorry can't list any specific street names but if you are familar with the city at all, you know how easy it is to navigate due to the layout and numbering of streets. The street number corresponds with the distance in miles from the center (this is just an example not a street name for any type of drug activity); West 116th Street = 11.6 miles west of the exact center, which I might add is two main roads that meet downtown, hence the city being nicknamed The Circle City.

There is an area east of Speedway, usually called Westside/Glendale/Haughville. It consists of several neighbors, one Haughville is a Weed and Seed area.

You could also check out the Broad Ripple area, alot of college students and bars. Always a good place to look. You might not find the H there but I can bet you'll find some pharmies!

I'm not sure about Indianapolis, but I know about Cincinnati, and since they're fairly close, it's bound to sort of be the same.

There's heroin in Cincy, but it's more of a crack / coke town. The heroin here is mostly dark brown (sometimes tan) powder, and I've encountered tar a few times. Bundles / grams go for $200 if you're buying on the street and don't know connections or aren't new. I've heard you can get them for $120 if you do have connections. Unfortunately is does have a lot to do with your appearance. Cincinnati is a very racially divided town, and most of the dealers are African American. So, until you get to know them, and you're white and from the suburbs, or look like you're not from the scene (i.e., preppy, clean-cut, etc.) you'll get the $200 price. I've never had trouble getting numbers, but I never used them because I only went downtown to get it when I was out of pods or couldn't find seeds. So, I always paid $200 because I didn't cultivate connections, and didn't really want to hang out downtown anyway. You do have to go to a certain area of the main ghetto downtown, and since you're not allowed to list specific locations, I can't tell you where to go. I will say that you can get crack / coke and probably weed (I've never bought weed on the street, but I know it's there) anywhere in the ghetto, but you have to go to a certain are for the H. It's between two streets in a certain block radius. I'm not exactly sure why (maybe something to do with gangs, I don't kow), but you just have to go there. If you don't know where to go, you can always pull up to someone on the corner and ask. If you're driving slowly, with your windows down at least half-way, you'll more than likely get a whistle to stop. Again, that's Cincy, and I don't know about Indianapolis, but it's probably the same.

I will say this, if you're used to East Coast H, don't expect the same prices or even the same quality, or packaging. the H here is packaged in folded up pieces of paper (sometimes foil, but mostly bits of paper), or if you're lucky tied off pieces of a sandwhich baggie. It's not stamped with brands like in NYC or other east coast places. And, while the H is decent, I would highly doubt it's as good as east coast places. But, then again, I've never had east coast dope, so I can't judge for sure, but what I've read it sounds so much better. Plus, I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that I wasn't known on the streets. I'm sure if you take the time to get more known, you get better shit, but that's not something I ever tried or wanted to do. I didn't enjoy copping on the street, and I tried to get the hell out of there as quickly as possible. A white kid from the suburbs rolling up in a Mercedes just screams rob me.

The only thing against the rules is listing street names and intersections. Talking about specific parts of a city or certain neighbor hoods is totally fine. There is nothing in this thread at all that violates any rules. If there are street names or intersections nmaed they will be deleted along with any information that is highly specific neither of which exist in this thread. Move along ................

Yeah thanks for the great replies you guys, I definitely appreciate it and am due to test my luck again soon in Indianapolis as well as Cincinnati since it isn't that that far - it's closer than where I currently have to drive to to cop, so I was interested in trying it, at least once while I'm on the drive to/from where I get. Indianapolis has no needle exchange, I've tried the one that is listed online and it's no longer in service, and there is only one methadone clinic which I've also tried to no avail. There *has* to be dope here, I'm just having a hell of a time finding it.

I lived close to Indy for six years or so, a little north of Carmel in the corner of Hamilton and Boone Counties. While there, I saw very little H... although, it was around. Crack and Crank wre prevalent... Now, up in Ft. Wayne, it was everywhere. I lived up there back in the mid/late eighties and had quite a habit back then.. that was where I first shot dope at the age of 18. Of course, I also got clean there the first time, got married for the first time and had my first two children there.

Happy hunting... its there, your just going to have to stay with it. Sooner or later a solid connect will fall in your lap. Good luck!

Yep, up there north of the city in Carmel, Fishers, hell probably anywhere in Hamilton Co. you aren't going to find any type of open air market that's for sure. I am sure there are dealers but not the ones the OP is looking for. But the OP shouldn't have any problem finding dope in the areas inside Indianapolis that I talked about. He should be able to find Crack/Coke as easy as 123 and from there someone should be able to point him in the right direction or help him out for a "fee". There is definitely H in Indy these days, no doubt about it.

The realtives that we go to visit in Indy live up in Hamilton Co, they bought a house up there about 5 years ago after living in the city for the better part of 20 years. Indy is like our second home we've been there to visit so much. I could make the drive blindfolded, the nice long 7 hour drive that it is!

You are not going to find it by driving around or asking strangers. The only thing you are going to find like that is an 80 dollar 80mg OC. You are going to have to make friends with middle class white kids that look crusty and maybe some skateboarders. It's gonna be a hassle, it's gonna be expensive, and it's gonna be so cut that you will end up pissed off. Drive to Chicago or Detroit, or you can take a greyhound. You would probably have better luck finding some dillies, although they will be expensive too. The dealers in Indy all have steady clientell, and they sell to only those few people to support their own habbit. Someone who has a little money and a lot of balls and a crew could make millions supplying Indy, Louisville, Nashville, Little Rock, and all of the college towns scattered among those states. The OC addicts are looking for it and they are tired of paying 80 bucks a shot.
