started methadone clinic on benzos

Theyve put me through hell trying to get in the clinic on benzos. I have to wait 90 minutes after i dose in the morning and have my vitals take every 15 minutes till the 90 minutes is up. I also had to sign something saying i would be off benzos withing three months. This is all with doctors notes. I waited 8 hours for the intake today. I also cant go up in dose at all for five days. I think this clinic is pretty extreme.....

Wow. Where do you live? That is very strict. I have been to 6 different methadone clinics in my life, each with different levels of strictness, and that seems a little much. I understand that methadone is so closely regulated by the feds and that the benzos issue is a big one, since many people abuse benzos while on methadone, and if you take too many it can be dangerous/fatal. Curious to know where you live, and what dose of methadone they started you out at.

They may have had some benzo related fatalities and are just covering their asses.

Its in Massachusetts and state run. I heard many clinics dont let you in on benzo period in MA
