Check out the latest tool (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?view=DETAILS&grid=&xml=/earth/2008/08/07/sciprints107.xml) law enforcement and government officials have unveiled to aid their fight in the various wars they have waged against american citizens, terrorism and society in general.

Now they can use mass spectrometry, the same technology that allows them to accurately pinpoint which substances we've taken through invasive urine testing, to see if we have simply touched drugs recently. It also can see explosives, and that could be pretty useful but come on, how many more weapons are they going to come up with to fight this "war on drugs" before they just admit that it's a lost cause?

This could really help a lot in the right context, lets just hope it won't be used too heavily on drug users to take away even more of our rights.

If the D.E.A. admitted it is a lost cause there goes their budget for next

year and then their jobs and they wouldn't be able to steal cars, speed boats,

Off topic in a way but I was just watching some new show that seems to be a spin off of cops. It follows a narcotics task force and what they do on a day to day basis.
It was funny watching them bust a guy who was manufacturing and selling steroids.
What was funny is seeing these massive cops packed with muscle bust a guy who was in the bussiness of making and selling something that they most likely took at some point in their lives. It wouldn't be surprising to me if some of these narcs actually used some of the steroids that this guy they were busting sold.
Just another hypocracy in a world full of them I suppose....

From this bullshit it looks like they can see if you've touched drugs, then i guess the next step would be a "request" for you to then take a drug test to see if you've consumed any drugs.....

This is just bolloxs....I reckon you guys in the US will bear the brunt of this shit.....But i have heard some testing for drivers under the influnce of drugs is comin to Europe....Kinda like the same test that they use on pro soccer players already.....

Wouldn't you just need to say you handled some money? They say 1/x bills has some sort of drugs on it anyway, though that might be a myth. I just don't see how this could be used for probable cause. Then again i said that about a lot of things...doesn't always work that way.
