Angor Wat At Night Is Beautiful...
GIMME SHELTER
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)
Oh, a storm is threat'ning
My very life today
If I don't get some shelter
Oh yeah, I'm gonna fade away
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Ooh, see the fire is sweepin'
Our very street today
Burns like a red coal carpet
Mad bull lost your way
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
The floods is threat'ning
My very life today
Gimme, gimme shelter
Or I'm gonna fade away
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
I tell you love, sister, it's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
Kiss away, kiss away

Pardon me for being short, but I need to read more here, and I am having a "friend" for breakfast...

On the Tweek Again
Used to come around here
To peddle his wares
A lot more takers now
The turkey "J"
You can taste the air
Around your face
His name was Barrest Jeffries
They picked him up twice
For cooking up amphetamine
Now he's on the tweek again
Drinking county prune
He doesn't mind so much
So we'd sit around the fire

From Pittsburgh, eh Opiyum? I am familiar with the area! Aren't you as well Set? Tell me Set when we were together last, it was when the imploded 3 Rivers Stadium, wasn't it? You still have that photo? I would get a kick out of it if you actually did. Plus your website is"trash". Untidy for a member of the Goa-uld isn't it? They thought you died Set my friend, but I know you are very much alive! They thought Buffalo Bill dissappeared too! LOL!:D
Anyway did they tear up the Steel City this year?

Also you see the Six Degrees of Separation happen live right here. Opiyum. Set spent 42 years 50 miles away from Pittsburgh, didn't you Set? you two may have passed over "common ground". I have visited there as well! I fine city to "TRIP" in!

Such a beautiful view she is. It's 4:15 am right now. Nope not sick just getting ready to head to that exquisite place right now. After the Super Bowl there were record setting school absences. The entire south side was shut down at around 8 am and 300,000 thousand people filled the streets. Waves of drunken black and gold GORILLAS.
When I get home from work I'll dig up that pic (THREE RIVERS)cause I'd like to see it. That is unless lomeone beats me..
Hannibal you are a genius. You do know this dont you. I wonder if you are able to point that powerful lense of perception at yourself. Or are you to busy with the dismantleing of others souls.
Gotta go. When I cross that bridge you can barely see on the right I'll be thinknig about the philes. The sick ones in peticular. My heart goes out...

Then he lost his leg in Dallas
He was dancin' with a train

I don't mind the sun sometimes
The images it shows

Smell you in my clothes
Cinnamon and sugary

You never know just how to look
Through other people's eyes
Some will die in hot pursuit
In firey auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain

Now if living in Twister Country USA isn't bad enough then try working keeping a TV station "on the air" while simultaneously putting out storm warnings....Plus Tulsa is Tweak Capital USA...Meth was so bad here they made a law keeping decongestants behind the counter...now more "ice" gets smuggled in from Mexico...and "grass" as well...along with "black tar" & "cocaine"...what will happen when they put up a 700 mile fence? It's to stop illegal aliens? Not really...it's to stop "drug trafficking" as well...

time to wait too long, to wait too long,

too much trippin' and my soul's worn thin
Time to catch her ride it leaves today,

The Walrus and The Carpenter
Lewis Carroll
(from Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, 1872)
The sun was shining on the sea,
Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright--
And this was odd, because it was
The middle of the night.
The moon was shining sulkily,
Because she thought the sun
Had got no business to be there
After the day was done--
"It's very rude of him," she said,
"To come and spoil the fun!"
http://www.jabberwocky.com/carroll/pics/glass20-small.gif (http://www.jabberwocky.com/carroll/pics/glass20.gif)
The sea was wet as wet could be,
The sands were dry as dry.
You could not see a cloud, because
No cloud was in the sky:
No birds were flying overhead--
There were no birds to fly.
The Walrus and the Carpenter
Were walking close at hand;
They wept like anything to see
Such quantities of sand:
"If this were only cleared away,"
They said, "it would be grand!"
"If seven maids with seven mops
Swept it for half a year.
Do you suppose," the Walrus said,
"That they could get it clear?"
"I doubt it," said the Carpenter,
And shed a bitter tear.
"O Oysters, come and walk with us!"
The Walrus did beseech.
"A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk,
Along the briny beach:
We cannot do with more than four,
To give a hand to each."
The eldest Oyster looked at him,
But never a word he said:
The eldest Oyster winked his eye,
And shook his heavy head--
Meaning to say he did not choose
To leave the oyster-bed.
But four young Oysters hurried up,
All eager for the treat:
Their coats were brushed, their faces washed,
Their shoes were clean and neat--
And this was odd, because, you know,
They hadn't any feet.
Four other Oysters followed them,
And yet another four;
And thick and fast they came at last,
And more, and more, and more--
All hopping through the frothy waves,
And scrambling to the shore.
http://www.jabberwocky.com/carroll/pics/glass21-small.gif (http://www.jabberwocky.com/carroll/pics/glass21.gif)
"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings. "
"But wait a bit," the Oysters cried,
"Before we have our chat;
For some of us are out of breath,
And all of us are fat!"
"No hurry!" said the Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that.
"A loaf of bread," the Walrus said,
"Is what we chiefly need:
Pepper and vinegar besides
Are very good indeed--
Now if you're ready, Oysters dear,
We can begin to feed."
"But not on us!" the Oysters cried,
Turning a little blue.
"After such kindness, that would be
A dismal thing to do!"
"The night is fine," the Walrus said.
"Do you admire the view?
http://www.jabberwocky.com/carroll/pics/glass22-small.gif (http://www.jabberwocky.com/carroll/pics/glass22.gif)
"It was so kind of you to come!
And you are very nice!"
The Carpenter said nothing but
"Cut us another slice:
I wish you were not quite so deaf--
I've had to ask you twice!"
"It seems a shame," the Walrus said,
"To play them such a trick,
After we've brought them out so far,
And made them trot so quick!"
The Carpenter said nothing but
"The butter's spread too thick!"
"I weep for you," the Walrus said:
"I deeply sympathize."
With sobs and tears he sorted out
Those of the largest size,
Holding his pocket-handkerchief
Before his streaming eyes.
"O Oysters," said the Carpenter,
"You've had a pleasant run!
Shall we be trotting home again?'
But answer came there none--
And this was scarcely odd, because
They'd eaten every one.
Truckin'
by The Grateful Dead
Truckin' got my chips cashed in. Keep truckin', like the do-dah man
Together, more or less in line, just keep truckin' on.
Arrows of neon and flashing marquees out on Main Street.
Chicago, New York, Detroit and it's all on the same street.
Your typical city involved in a typical daydream
Hang it up and see what tomorrow brings.
Dallas, got a soft machine; Houston, too close to New Orleans;
New York's got the ways and means; but just won't let you be, oh no.
Most of the cast that you meet on the streets speak of true love,
Most of the time they're sittin' and cryin' at home.
One of these days they know they better get goin'
Out of the door and down on the streets all alone.
Truckin', like the do-dah man. Once told me "You've got to play your hand"
Sometimes your cards ain't worth a dime, if you don't lay'em down,
Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me;
Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me What a long, strange trip it's been.
What in the world ever became of sweet Jane?
She lost her sparkle, you know she isn't the same
Livin' on reds, vitamin C, and cocaine,
All a friend can say is "Ain't it a shame?"
Truckin', up to Buffalo. Been thinkin', you got to mellow slow
Takes time, you pick a place to go, and just keep truckin' on.
Sittin' and starin' out of the hotel window.
Got a tip they're gonna kick the door in again
I'd like to get some sleep before I travel,
But if you got a warrant, I guess you're gonna come in.
Busted, down on Bourbon Street, SET up, like a bowlin' pin.
Knocked down, it get's to wearin' thin. They just won't let you be, oh no.
You're sick of hangin' around and you'd like to travel;
Get tired of travelin' and you want to settle down.
I guess they can't revoke your soul for tryin',
Get out of the door and light out and look all around.
Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me;
Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me What a long, strange trip it's been.
Truckin', I'm a goin' home. Whoa whoa baby, back where I belong,
Back home, sit down and patch my bones, and get back truckin' on.
Hey now get back truckin' home.

Hello blackdog,
I must find the "black dog" story...You'll love it. You have heard it...a mysterious "black dog" (some say it's a rottie others say it's pinscher) sometimes is seen going in front of semi-trucks causing them to wreck on the road but when they look for traces of the animal...none can be found....
But my contribution to Set's thread today is the chupacabra...or better known in Puerto Rico and Mexico as the "goat sucker"....He looks like this...
http://www.parascope.com/en/1096/chupa/goatmme.jpg
Of course this mexican Museum piece is said to be a Figi Mermaid type hoax...It values further investigation...Ugly lil sucker ain't he?
Who knows? The chupacabra sightings are almost legendary....
http://img76.exs.cx/img76/802/aliendance.gif
So is Chupa an alien lifeform? or is he something more familiar to this planet?

"If we could sniff or swallow something that would, for five or six hours each day, abolish our solitude as individuals, atone us with our fellows in a glowing exaltation of affection and make life in all its aspects seem not only worth living, but divinely beautiful and significant, and if this heavenly, world-transfiguring drug were of such a kind that we could wake up next morning with a clear head and an undamaged constitution-then, it seems to me, all our problems (and not merely the one small problem of discovering a novel pleasure) would be wholly solved and earth would become paradise."ALDOUS HUXLEY

http://www.parascope.com/articles/0197/crowley.jpgThere are two kinds of evil in the world. There's your traditional, garden-variety, Hitler-brand evil, encompassing those who believe their atrocities of word and deed are actually serving the purposes of good, or who just think there's no such thing as right and wrong.
And then there's the other kind, in which you're evil and you know it, clap your hands.

I posted this somewhere where it didnt belong so now I repost where it does.
Feeling a little inspired today. Here's a short story.
----------------------------"Kentucky Blue Grass"----------------------------------
The last uncleansed junkie stands alone by an untouched glimmering field of red poppies.....but wait!..whats that...it's junkies. Thousands of them!
"Yes come with me junkies!" screams the man.
"Come dance like Dorothy and the Cowardly lion! Let us suck the sweet sweet nectare of the Gods. Oh Hypnos! Oh Morpheus!"
As the junkies approach the man begins to recoil in horror as he notices a junkie reading Forbes magazine. Then a loudspeaker kicks on. After the initial static fizzles out there comes booming through the valley that one unmistakeable voice. Rush Limbaugh. Panic rushes up his spine through to his very soul.
Coming from the loud speaker"Jerry Garcia..aughle..Hes just another dead junkie"
"They must have got to everyone in town!" he screams as he scans the mob.
Thats when he notices his Jamie. He wells up.
As he wipes the tears from his eyes he notices that the lobotamized junkies are now close enough for him to see their arms fresh with scars some even still bleeding. These brave men were some of the very last to shoot up on this great planet. Now though they are carrying shears and axes and pushing lawnmowers. Just waiting for their chance to tear up the terra firma.
Sweat begins to pour down the mans face as he is backed into a corner of poppies on one side and junkies on another. Were it a different time this would have been a joyous moment. The Harvest.
Now with seconds left he knows what he has to do.
He digs in his pockets and pulls out his gear....Four Hypes....thirty cc's each that will do it. For sure.
He akwardly bends over and holds all fours hypes a few inches from his ass and just before plunging them all in he cant help but laugh at the position he is in and the squinty, takeing a shit, look he has on his face just before commiting suicide.
He feels a pinch and then is blinded by a bright light. Suddenly he is very cold. He feels a draft.
He feels a latex glove rest on his shoulder.
"That's the last one right Jim?" asks the nurse while pulling the needle out.
"Yeah Kath' that's it. At least for this district and from what I've been hearing there's been some resistance to the proceedures in the western most regions mostly in Neo-Cali and New Shang Hai City..." Jim takes off his gloves and takes Kathy's hand. "...Kath why dont you escort this boy out so we can be alone for a while?"
"Sure thing." Kathy takes Brian outside the clinic. Noone is waiting for him and the nurse doesnt seem to mind.
As the Purifimine really sets in Brian no longer remembers the dream. His expression goes from one of horrified confusion to one of tranquility.
Brian leaves the Purifimine clinic as the sunsets over a field of poppies. Without anyone using them they have become as abundant as Kentucky Blue Grass. He's thirsty so he goes to Starbucks were a girl named Jamie askes him what she can help him with.
He chooses a double Mocca Latte.

"It's Been A While"
And it's been awhile
Since I could hold my head up high
And it's been awhile
Since I first saw you
And it's been awhile
Since I could stand on my own two feet again
And it's been awhile
Since I could call you
And everything I can't remember
As fucked up as it all may seem
The consequences that I've rendered
I've stretched myself beyond my means
And it's been awhile
Since I can say that I wasn't addicted
And it's been awhile
Since I can say I love myself as well
And it's been awhile
Since I've gone and fucked things up just like I always do
And it's been awhile
But all that shit seems to disappear when I'm with you
And everything I can't remember
As fucked up as it all may seem
The consequences that I've rendered
I've gone and fucked things up again
Why must I feel this way?
Just make this go away
Just one more peaceful day!
And it's been awhile
Since I could look at myself straight
And it's been awhile
Since I said I'm sorry
And it's been awhile
Since I've seen the way the candles light your face
And it's been awhile
But I can still remember just the way you taste
And everything I can't remember
As fucked up as it all may seem to be I know it's me
I cannot blame this on my father
He did the best he could for me
And it's been awhile
Since I could hold my head up high
And it's been awhile
Since I said I'm sorry

Eye on the TV
Cause tragedy thrills me
Whatever flavor, it happens to be
Like about a husband
Drowned by the ocean
Shunned by his own son
He used a poison
In his dream
He kissed her goodbye
It's my kind of story
It's no fun 'til someone dies.
Don't look at me like
I am a monster
Frown out your one face
But with the other
Stare like a junkie
Into the TV
Stare like a zombie
Whi-le the mother
Who holds her child
Watches him die
Hands to the sky, crying
Why, oh why
Cause I need to watch things die, from a distance
Vicariously I
Live while the whole world dies
You all need it too, don't lie
Why can't we just admit it [x2]
We won't give pause until the blood is flowing
Neither brave nor bold
We're writing the stories so,
We won't give pause until the blood is flowing
I need to watch things die
From a good safe distance
Vicariously I
Live while the whole world dies
You all feel the same so
Why can't we just admit it.
Blood like rain come down
Drop and grave and ground
Part vampire, part warrior
Carnivore and voyeur
Still have the transmitter
Sing to the death rattle
La la la la la la la lie [x4]
Could you at least admit
Your desire to believe in
Angels in the hearts of men
But pull your head on out. Your head believes, so please give a listen
Shouldn't have to say it all again
The universe is hostile, so impersonal
Devour to survive
So it is. So it's always been
We all feed
On tragedy
It's like blood to a vampire
Vicariously I
Live while the whole world dies
Much better you than I
I wonder if anyone else has heard the song yet. I have heard it and as always the musicianship is off the chart Danny offers up some ridiculous fills and transitions but it's the Vocal's that I find a bit sketchy. Maynard's vocals, to me, sound like one of the many bands out there trying to mimic Tool.
Any thoughts from those that have heard it?

It's been some time but have you heard this one?
Incubus - Drive
Sometimes, I feel the fear of uncertainty stinging clear.
And I can't help but ask myself how much
I'll let the fear take the wheel and steer.
It's driven me before, and it seems to have a vague, haunting mass appeal.
But lately I am beginning to find that I should be the one behind the wheel.
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there with open arms and open eyes.
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there. I'll be there.
So if I decide to waiver my chance to be one of the hive
Will I choose water over wine and hold my own and drive?
It's driven me before and it seems to be the way that everyone else gets around.
But lately I'm beginning to find that when I drive myself my light is found.
So whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there with open arms and open eyes.
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there. I'll be there.
Would you choose water over wine.... hold the wheel and drive?
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there with open arms and open eyes.
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there. I'll be there.

There's no way outta here
when you come in, you're in for good
there was no proise made
the part you played, the chance you took
there are no boundries set and yet you waste it still
the wind slips through your hand like grains of sand
you watch it go
there's no time to be lost
you'll pay the cost so get it right
theres no way outta here
when you come in your in for good
Your life slips through your hands
like grains of sand you watch it go
theres no time to be lost, you'll pay the cost if you say no
you've blown your only chance away
there are no answers here
when you look out you dont see in

Here are the lyrics you mentioned
Mr. Crowley, what went on in your head
(Oh) Mr. Crowley, did you talk to the dead
Your lifestyle to me seemed so tragic
With the thrill of it all
You fooled all the people with magic
(Yea)You waited on Satan's call
Mr. Charming, did you think you were pure
Mr. Alarming, in nocturnal rapport
Uncovering things that were sacred, manifest on this earth
(Ah)Conceived in the eye of a secret
Yeah, they scattered the afterbirth
Mr. Crowley, won't you ride my white horse?
Mr. Crowley, it's symbolic of course
Approaching a time that is classic
I hear that maidens call
Approaching a time that is drastic
Standing with their backs to the wall
Was it polemically sent
I wanna know what you meant
I wanna know
I wanna know what you meant, yeah!
I also like the lyrics to 'sweet leaf' even though I assume that they refer to weed rather than gear.
Sweet Leaf Lyrics
ALRIGHT NOW!!
Won't you listen?
When I first met you, didn't realize
I can't forget you, for your supriSe
you introduced me, to my mind
And left me wanting, you and your kind
I love you, Oh you know it
My life was empty forever on a down
Until you took me, showed me around
My life is free now, my life is clear
I love you sweet leaf, though you can't hear
Come on now, try it out
Straight people don't know, what your about
They put you down and shut you out
you gave to me a new belief
and soon the world will love you sweet leaf

Wow this thread has some weird, wild, and evil imagery goin' on, don't it? Me likeee, keep it comin'.
Anyways, yeah "Sweet Leaf" is the weed song, but if you wanna hear Sabbath warn us all of the perils of heroin you gotta listen to "Hand of Doom". But Sabbath had loads of drug references in a lot of different songs (if you really want a list, I 'spose I could compile one. I'm a Sabbath fanatic, since '77), and most of the band did the requisite rock-star quantities of drugs during their heyday. More of a reflection of the time-period, I guess, and heroin was very prevalent in the news back then, along with the Vietnam war. It's interesting to note that most people think Ozzy, being Sab's vocalist, was also their lyricist. In fact Geezer Butler, bassist, was responsible for 99% of them. I still find Sabbath's lyrics to be relevant and cool even now---just listen to "Megalomaniac (Sabotage)...awesome! Any other Sab fans on the forum?

HELL YEAH MAN! Black Sabbath were pioneers in the DruG rock era of music pointing out alot of specific references to drugs and the penalty they can cost you. Think of "snow blind". The new influx of European stoner rock if musically very similla bands like sabbath, Budgie, and hawkwind still throw thier own modern influences in the bag with the older ones. Today's lyrics come from a group called Mushroomhead...I knew a few of their roadies & groupies before they went national...well the "poop" was this...when the Cleveland Group did not want to go along with a touring deal, that unscrupulous people stole their costuming concepts and went to a group called Slipknot...all of a sudden you see Slipknot wearing Mushroomhead's costume concepts...Mushroomheads response was to CHANGE their costuming...to them it's the music not the group itself...
Well anyway todays song comes from the Album "Superbuick":

Flattened
An early incarnation of a bad day
I got up on the wrong side again the first hours
Crawl emotional starvation, we throw the words away
Don't wanna swallow my pride again
The worst waste of all
I think I've found my way in,
I found my way out for every time that you live your life to please
There's always that trace of doubt
An early incarnation, an early incarnation of a bad day, of a bad day
I got up on the wrong side again
I got up on the wrong side again
The worst waste of all
The first hours crawl if I could only erase,
This failure in my head one day if I could just face up to this
Put the past to rest
Live your life to please
Live your life to please
Live your life to please
There's always that trace of doubt
An early incarnation of a bad day
I got up on the wrong side again
The first hours crawl the first hours crawl.

"Sky starts Falling" Doves:
Who am I supposed to be?
I can't be sure that the next one will see me
And if the sky starts falling on the street outside
The only thing that satisfies
If the sky starts falling on the heads outside
The only thing that keeps me alive
If you see her again, be sure to say hello
Be sure to send my love
Did she seem like before
Could you seem above it all
Be sure to send my love
Wake up, waking up to see
It's a sign
That what will be will be
And if the sky starts falling on the street outside
The only thing that satisfies
If the sky starts falling on the heads outside
The only thing that keeps me alive
I swear I heard her call, call my name
I swear I heard her call, can I move on
If you see her again, be sure to say hello
Be sure to send my love
Did she seem like before
Can't you see above it all
Be sure to send my love
I swear I heard her call, call my name
I swear I heard her call, can I move on
Did she call herself a friend?
Don't call on me again, don't call on me again
Did she seem like before
Did she seem above it all
Be sure to send my love

No more reason to stay
Freezing feeling,
Breathe in, breathe in

Hazing clouds rain on my head
Empty thoughts fill my ears
Find my shade by the moon light
Why my thoughts aren't so clear
Demons dreaming
Breathe in, breathe in

The same goes for the restaraunt business. Although alot of the higher paying(corporate jobs) are starting to drug test and sadly I've seen many who so casually accept that fact.

Here's Today's song...
Wynona's Big Brown Beaver
Wynona's got herself a big brown beaver
and she shows it off to all her friends.
One day, you know, that beaver tried to leave her,
So she caged him up with cyclone fence.
Along came Lou with the old baboon
And said "Recognize that smell?"
"Smells like seven layers,
That beaver eats Taco Bell."
Now Rex he was a Texan out of New Orleans
And he travelled with the carnival shows.
He ran bumper cars, sucked cheap cigars
And he candied up his nose.
He got wind of the big brown beaver
So he though he'd take himself a peek,
But the beaver was quick
And grabbed him by the kiwis.
Now he ain't pissed for a week.
(And a half!)
Now Wynona took her big brown beaver,
And she stuck him up in the air.
Said "I sure do love this big brown beaver
And I wish I did have a pair."
Now the beaver onces slept for seven days
And it gave us all an awful fright.
So I tickled his chin and I gave him a pinch
And the bastard tried to bite me.
Wynona loved her big brown beaver
And she stroked him all the time.
She pricked her finger one day and it
Occurred to her she might have a porcupine.

A few by Queens of the stone age
Wait by the phone
Late alone
He can't help you
But I know I could
Free is too long
You know this is wrong
Everything scars the skin
Push it in, break it off
I'm gonna leave
I'm gonna leave you
I gave it starts
I stomped on your hearts
This the is the end,
No more pictures, we ain't friends
It's raining in my room
There's blood in my spoon
You're out of my highchair
I'm out of your womb
I'm gonna leave
I'm gonna leave you
Free is too long

Everything scars the skin
Push it in, push it in, break it off

Time to de-wrap that chilli dog
Eat a box of Krispy Kreames
We've ID'd an air pollutant
Just outside area 51
Contemplating the whole truth
Of people thinking we just took a flaming
Stale banana-split-the-skylight
Well one opened up we'd expect to see in A place like this
Code red I'll put us in a diamond setting
Right on my Birkenstocks in the open
HOLY FUCKING SHIT
Holy fucking shit
Fucking shit
Holy fucking shit
Hly fucking shit
Holy fucking shit...fucking shit...fucking shit
Let the X-file be entered
As some kind of blue creature
I hate it when it stows a meteor in my bathroom
If you look at your appearance for a moment you can see
Another banana bourbon enema
Someone hovered above my buckeyes
My daily chore
Maybe I'll run over the upper lid but all I could think was
Careful to mark your girlfriends 17 fucking cats
The sewer line is waiting
Like an apparition he had me crying out
Fuck me
Sodomy
A dead head chemistry
Bladder problems wont stifle me
If I can't make it
People who are watching see ...
...and after calming me down with some orange slices and some needle spooning
He revealed to me a
singular purpose, he said you are the chosen one.
The one who will deliver the message.
A message of hope for those who choose to hear it
and a warning for those who do not
me, the chosen one,
they chose me,
and I didn't graduate from fucking high school
you better
you better
you better
you beter listen
He looked right through me
with somniferous almond eyes
don't even know what that means
must remember to write it down,
this is so real,
like the time he floated away
see my heart is pounding
cause this shit never happens to me
can't breathe, right now, it was so real
Like I woke up in Wonderland
also a bit terifying
I don't want to be alone when I tell this story
and can anyone tell me why? all the sudden my peanuts dance?
will I ever be coming down?
this is so real, finally it's my lucky day
see my heart is racing
cause this shit never happens to me
can't breathe right now
you believe me don't you, please believe what I just said
see they're telling true
and this wasn't all in my head
see they took me by the hand and invited me right in
then they showed me something
I don't even know where to begin
Strapped down to my bed, feet cold and eyes red, I'm out of my head, am I alive am I dead, can't remember what they said god damn shit the bed
High eye
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position
such a heavy burden now to be the one
born to bear and read to all
the details of our ending
to write it down for all the world to see
But I forgot my pen, shit the bed again typical
strapped down to my bed, feet cold and eyes red I'm out of my head am I alive am I dead,
sunkist and sudafed, gyroscopes, and infra red, won't help, brain dead, can't remember what they said
god damn shit the bed
IIIIIII can't remember what they said to me
Can't remember what they said to me
made out to be
a hero
Can't remember what they said
oh no, help now
God damn shit the bed

Right In Two - Tool
Angels on the sideline,
Puzzled and amused.
Why did Father give these humans free will?
Now they're all confused.
Don't these talking monkeys know that
Eden has enough to go around?
Plenty in this holy garden, silly monkeys,
Where there's one you're bound to divide it
Right in two
Angels on the sideline,
Baffled and confused.
Father blessed them all with reason.
And this is what they choose.
Monkey killing monkey killing monkey
Over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys give them thumbs,
They forge a blade,
And where there's one
they're bound to divide it,
Right in two.
Right in two.
Monkey killing monkey killing monkey
Over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys give them thumbs,
They make a club
And beat their brother..down.
How they survive so misguided is a mystery.
Repugnant IS A CREATURE WHO WOULD SQUANDER THE ABILITY TO LIVE TO LIGHT
A HEAVEN CONSCIOUS OF HIS FLEETING TIME HERE
Cut it all right in two (x4)
Fight over the clouds, over wind, over sky
Fight over life, over blood, over prayer, overhead and light
Fight over love, over sun, over another
Fight...
Angels on the sideline again
BEEN SO LONG WITH patience and reason
Angels on the sideline again
Wondering when this tug of war will end
Cut it all right in two (x3)
Right in two
Right in two...
It is a beautiful song though....three posts in a row WOW!

"Black Jesus"
By Everlast
They call me white Devil, black Jesus
Heaven closes, Hell freezes
Ego's trippin', scripts keep flippin'
Bloods keep bloodin', Crips keep crippin'
Time keeps slippin' and I keep fallin'
I can't see but I hear them callin', ballers ballin'
Players playin', haters fightin', righteous prayin'
Don't forget Manhattan keep makin', Brooklyn keep takin'
Shook ones keep shakin', no time for fakin'
Know what I mean, I ain't choppin' no bars just risin' like cream
If you diggin' the scene, you feelin' the vibe
Throw your hands in the air, scream are you alive
Singin' na, na, na, na, na, na [X4]
They call me black Jesus, white Moses
Heaven freezes, Hell closes
B-Boy posin', punk rock chicks, kids are alright but I need my fix
If you diggin' the mix, feelin' the drugs, if you keepin' it real
If you livin' like thugs, I spit kisses and hugs like forty five slugs
Come back on the run and kiss my love gun
Got a look that'll kill, voice that'll carry
Half a dozen women that think I want a marry
I got trouble on my mind, I'm refusin' to lose
But still I got a find someone to abuse, I'm gonna run spread the news
Help say the word, jump the fuck back and just act like you heard
[CHORUS]
They call me white Devil, black Jesus
Heaven closes, Hell freezes
Black Jesus, white Moses
Heaven freezes, hell closes
Singin' na, na, na, na, na, na [X5]
They call me white sinner, black martyr, live wire
Fire starter, jungle brother, red neck cracker, freak of nature
New world slacker, sex junkie lookin' for a dealer
You can play the leper girl and I can play the healer
Shit is only gettin' realer, baby haven't you heard
That the bird, bird, bird, yes the bird is the word
It go one for the trebble, two for the times, and three for my homies and four for the dimes
Singin' lemons to the limes to the break of dawn
Excuse me (six minutes) Everlast you on
And it go on and on like a rolling stone, baby, anywhere I lay my hat is my home
[CHORUS]
They call me white Devil, black Jesus
Heaven closes, Hell freezes
Black Jesus, white Moses
Heaven freezes, hell closes
Singin' na, na, na, na, na, na [X18]

My Turn Dark One,
"My Way"
By Limp Bizkit
special, you think your special you do,
i can see it in your eyes i can see it when you laugh at me look down
on me and, you walk around on me just one more fight
about your leadership and i will straight up leave your shit
cause i've had enough of this and now i'm pissed (yeah)
this time i'm a let it all come out this time i'm a stand up
and shout i'm a do things my way,
it's my way, my way
or the highway this time i'm a let it all come out this time
i'm a stand up and shout i'm a do things my way,
it's my way, my way
or the highway just one more
fight about a lotta things and i will give up everything to be on my own again,
free again this time i'm a let it all come out this time
i'm a stand up and shout i'm a do things my way,
it's my way, my way
or the highway this time i'm a let it all come out this time
i'm a stand up and shout i'm a do things my way,
it's my way, my way
or the highway someday you'll see things my way cause you never know,
no ya never know when your gonna go someday
you'll see things my way cause you never know,
no ya never know when your gonna go just one more fight
and i'll be history yes i will straight up leave your shit
and you'll be the one who's left missing me (yeah)
this time i'm a let it all come out this time
i'm a stand up and shout i'm a do things my way,
it's my way, my way
or the highway this time i'm a let it all come out this time i'm a stand up
and shout i'm a do things my way,

This one's for you Set, nice thread!!:)
THE REVEREND HORTON HEAT
Well I was workin on my farm bout 1982
Pullin up some corn and a little carrot too
When 2 low flyin aeroplanes bout a hundred feet high
Dropped a bunch o' bales o' somethin some hit me in my eye
So i cut a bale open and man was i suprised
Bunch o' large sized baggies with big white rocks inside
So i took a little sample to my crazy brother Joe
He sniffed it up and kicked his heels, said "Horton thats some blow"
Bales of cocaine fallin' from low-flyin plane
I don't know who dropped 'em but i thank 'em just the same
Bales of cocaine fallin like a foreign rain
My life changed completely by the low-flyin planes
So I loaded up them bles in my pick-em-up truck
Headed west for Dallas where I would try my luck
I didn't have a notion if i could sell 'em there
But, thirty minutes later I was a millionaire..
Bales of cocaine fallin' from low-flyin' plane
I don't know who dropped 'em but I thank 'em just the same
Bales of cocaine fallin like a foreign rain
My life was changed completely by them low-flyin' planes
And now I am a rich man but I'm still a farmer too
But i sold my farm in Texas bought a farm down in Peru
And when i get so homesick, I think I'm goin insane
I travel back to Texas in a low-flyin plane...
Bales of cocaine fallin from low-flyin' plane
I don't know who done dropped 'em but i thank 'em just the same
Bales of cocaine fallin like a foreign rain
My life changed completely by the low-flyin planes.

I personally have enjoyed some of the great artwork you've posted in this thread, and in fact, have used my image thingy to save some of it on my computer (hope you don't mind--I'd never use it commercially or anything, plus I don't know if it's yours or you just posted it cause it's cool).
In fact, I will toss you some points, friend---this has been an enjoyable thread overall.
Now, since my donation is on its way to bi11i, I will soon know who gave me a 'neutral' for my post about Black Sabbath here in this thread. Actually, I'm not pissed at all, but curious....I wanna know what I said in that post that chapped someone's ass. I guess I'm jst like that, I MUST know....
Anyway, good thread, Set.

By the way I go Fishin for the "art"...many known and unknown artists...some stuff IS copyrighted so please use care! It's not original work?

Ah, yes..the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers...I love it!!
I have five or six comics of theirs that I bought at a head shop way back when I was in high school. I think I heard something about there being only six of them ever made (issues that is...). Any truth to that?
I wonder if they are worth any money...I think they are original issues and are in pristine condition.
It's really something about comic books---my brother and I used to collect 'em (mostly Marvel) when we were kids, and once we grew out of it, we sold the collection. We got almost ten thousand dollars for the entire collection!! But we had some real valuable ones, like Spiderman #4, stuff like that--I don't really remember all the specifics, but they were worth BANK!!! I actually wish we'd have saved 'em.

wow, brings back memories....I was close to 300 miles from there and for months and months that thing was spewing ash clouds that would get caught in the jet stream and head my way! They closed the playground for recess on occasion when it was particularly bad..

Song: Save Me
Artist name: Shinedown
well I’ve got a candle and I’ve got a spoon
I live in a hallway with no doors and no rooms
and under a windowsill they all were found
a touch of concrete within the doorway without a sound
someone save me if you will
and take away all these pills
and please just save me if you can
from my blasphemy in my wasteland
how did I get here and what went wrong
couldn’t handle forgiveness now I’m far beyond gone
and I can hardly remember the look of my own eyes
how could I love this a life so dishonest it made me compromise
jump in the water
jump in with me
jump on the alter lay down with me
the hardest question to answer is why
somebody save me
please don’t erase me

Children of the Moon
Alan Parsons Project
Album "Eye in the Sky"
(lead vocal - david paton)
Pay no attention to the writing on the wall
The words seem empty cause there's nothing there at all
We let the wise men beat the drums too soon
We were just children of the moon
No one to turn to
Nowhere to run to even if we could
Too late to save us but try to understand
The seas were empty there was hunger in the land
We let the blind man lead the way too long
Easy to see where we went wrong
Nothing to live for
Nothing to die for
We're lost in the middle of a hopeless world
Lost in the middle of a hopeless world
Children children of the moon watch the world go by
Children children of the moon are hiding from the sun and the sky

Came in from a rainy Thursday
On the avenue
Thought I heard you talking softly
I turned on the lights, the TV
And the radio
Still I can't escape the ghost of you
What has happened to it all
Crazy, some are saying
Where is the life that I recognize
Gone away
But I won't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Passion or coincidence
Once prompted you to say
Pride will tear us both apart
Well now pride's gone out the window
Cross the rooftops, run away
Left me in the vacuum of my heart
What is happening to me
Crazy, some'd say
Where is my friend when I need you most
Gone away
But I won't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Papers in the roadside
Tell of suffering and greed
Here today, forgot tomorrow
Ooh, here besides the news
Of holy war and holy need
Ours is just a little sorrow
It's all gone away
And I don't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Every one
Is my world, I will learn to survive
Any one
Is my world, I will learn to survive
Any one
Is my world
Every one
Is my world
duran duran ordinary world

Trapped,
inside this thing we vaguely call
"Life."
Sometimes sufficient,
but mostly INsufficient,
seemingly indifferent.
Surfer dudes,
surfer dames,
label it in a catchy phrase:
"Life's a beach."
But we all know what
they really mean.
Perhaps those who strive
least to do it
say it best.
Perhaps we should say,
"Go to hell"
with the rest.

I may be wrong, but in the Catholic faith the Nihil Obstat is another name for the Devil's Advocate...
http://61.139.55.94/dvd/pic1/Devil's%20Advocate.jpg
Nihil obstat is an official approval by a delegated censor of the Roman Catholic Church (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Catholic_Church) to publish a work dealing with faith or morals. It signifies that the publication is free from Catholic doctrinal or moral error.
The phrase is Latin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin), meaning, "nothing hinders" or "nothing stands in the way."
The Nihil obstat, along with the Imprimi potest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imprimi_potest), forms part of the Catholic Imprimatur (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imprimatur).
Nothing hinders this thread....seems like the ONLY things objected to here are straight out blood and gore...you know, decapitations and such some folks have no stomach for it...

I've been sitting at the computer nodding for a couple hours now, and at one point I slipped into "the zone," where I was in a very lifelike waking dream. In this dream I had a big pile of Oxy and my sister reached for it. I slapped her hand away and woke up as I did this because in real life I had reached out and slapped the air in front of me, striking the keyboard and making alot of noise. :p

My friends my Exodus has begun. I may be gone for about 30 days, but never fear...when I get back to Florida and get myself back on-line I shall come here first...If I find a way via Library or WiFi Internet Cafe then I will drop in for a visit and give you a progress report!
Until then The Net Hangers appreciate if you keep up my threads!
"My advice to people today is as follows: If you take the game of life seriously, if you take your nervous system seriously, if you take your sense organs seriously, if you take the energy process seriously, you must turn on, tune in, and drop out. "
