I'm an equal opportunity hydro employer, but I am partial to pills of color. Unfortunatley for swim he lives in a white neighborhood, with white guys weighing in at 7.5 mgs. But swim used to hang out with coloreds that weighed in at 10 mgs. He misses those guys:D

Agreed mallies suck! I usually get watsons also, but for me in would be norco (yellow) then blue, or green (lorcet)

I remember having all these online opiate pimps that I knew before I had chronic pain, when I was mostly just a pot head with an interest in exotic drugs and being a human drug encyclopedia, who could get huge quantities....whole kilograms of powdered pure hydrocodone at the drop of a hat. 2,000mg was the typical shipment load I believe.

Whatever happened to those days?

Qualitest is pretty good as far as generics go...see post in Hydro forum (Refill Day).

The Qualitest brand are pink and leave powder on your hands (if they last that long). I would rate them about the same as the Watson 'blues' (both of which I have had in LARGE quantities).

I've always enjoyed watson 10/325...also had good compounds from Woody in NC 10/80mg...just having that much less apap and I feel better. Seem to get sick to my stomach even at normal doses of the regular vicodin anymore..
But, I had never had Qualitest's version of the Norco 10/325...just watsons. Lemme tell you, I know people are all different and everything, but I felt like the pills (first time I'd had them) were almost twice as strong as the watsons!
Back in "the day", when I was taking hydro for ALL the GOOD feelings, but wrong reasons, I LOVED the dentist, cause he was the only one who prescribed those speckled watsons that ranged from 5-10 mgs and really got me itchy and wired to stay up on a weekday night for hours and hours playing on AOL 'throwing' wav sound files into the chat rooms/visiting with people...those were the days...high for hours off 2 pills! If I got a script for 15 count, I was beside myself with anticipation and excitement.
When the hand surgeon gave me a lousy 15 count each time of 7.5/750 mallies for my carpal tunnel surgeries, when he knew I had been taking OC (minimum 20-40mg bid) with oxy IR 5mg's for BTP, I was pretty pissed off. The first surgery I thought I might have to go to the ER about two days later cause the pain wouldn't get under control, the A hole! :angry-smi

Generic drugs are allowed to vary up to 20% either way...that's why some docs will advise gals to only take birth control that is name brand, just an fyi/side note...

With a max. of 10milles, your right on Hydro> Qualitest, I my opinion are far superior to any. Their fillers and bonds r loss, with a harder hit.

Back in the days when internet shopping was still cool, I stumbled on a wonderful site that sold cheap Zydone. It became my favorite hydro; I have NO tolerance for the stuff anymore :(. It is 10/400 and you but the pill under your tongue to melt. There is no generic, so the pharmacist has to fill name brand.

I haven't had Zydone, as yet. Lately I've had a few of the 5/500 Mallinkarts, a few of the blue 10/500 watsons, and a fair number of the yellow 10/325 watons.

I'd love to get my hands on some Zydone, or some Qualitests. Of course it's all hydro and I'm barely able to feel the stuff anymore, but it would be a nice change of pace.

Most pharmacies that used it, have alternatives though. They shouldn't be out of comission for long, if at all. Of course the 15mg compounds would have been nice for me to try, but few places other than Avee offer them and from what I've heard, the 15/200's from Avee are often less potent than most 10mg tablets.... =/

You and me both, sister. I've gone through far too much pain at this point for that to be a remotely realistic possibility, sadly. I would be more accepting of it, perhaps, if I'd had a choice. :mad:

Watson are the best. UCB are also good. The Speckaled ones and the pink 10's are potent. Mallies suck ass

Mine are ANY Norco or generic Norco 10/325s. At least, those are my favorite hydros that I can get a hold of. They compound stronger versions (rarely, and hard to get), but these are kinda tough to get as it is, and my fav, for hydro at least. Still like the stronger stuff like OC, MS, Dilaudid, fentanyl pops and patches, etc.

Greetings all fellow brothers and sisters explorers. This is my first post and I am glad that I stumbled across this phenomenal forum. I find much joy in reading the various posts from experienced ones such as you all. I am fairly new to the opiate world only diving into the pool through means of hydro over the past 6 months. As far as my past I have explored the realms of coke and meth and cid and x and other halucigins. I had a down time that lasted for around 6 years in a bottomless pit revolving around a nasty devilish item that is called ass or better yet crack. After finally having a moment of clarity so to speak and realizing I was not in a place of utopia but hell, I threw that shit back to the pit and remained clean for a period of 3 or 4 years. Around 6 months ago, I was diagnosed with acute severe prostatitis and was given tramadol for pain. After finding no relief I was given darvon and only found relief by taking 4 or 5 at a time. Finally I was given lortab 7.5 and found my answer to the pain by taking 2 at a time. Well as you guessed the 2 after a week did not seem to work anymore and I began taking 3. Along with these I was taking 3 antibiotics and flowmax to relax the prostate. I was worried about taking so many pills I asked for a liver profile which came back elevated so my doc wouldnt write any more scripts for the hydro since it had APAP. His suggestion for me when I was in pain is to relax, avoid stressful situations, and take long hot baths. HA. I drove a stand up forklift and worked 12 hour days. What was I to do, go up to my boss and say , hey boss man Im in pain and need to go take a long hot bath! I thought to myself, this doc is used to treating old men with prostate problems who probably dont work so they can do that. I am 31 years old and have to function in daily life and the pain is not going to allow me to do that. So I went to my general practioner and she suggested that I should get a CT scan and see a surgeon. So I did. Nothing came up on the CT except diverticuosis which is little pockets or soft spot in you colon that can get seeds or food in them and cause pain. But No one gave me anything for the pain. I had to work so here I go asking around for pain meds from fellow co workers and finding a few hydro 7.5's for $4 each here and there.
Since my tolerance had grown to having to take at least 4 at a time, those that I found didnt last long. I had to go to my urgent care clinic and pretend that my back was strained and was given predisone (steriod for swelling) and flexor and 12 combunex (which is basically percocet but with ibuprophene. Thinking oxycodne would surely help me I took two at a time. They helped the pain but didnt give me any kinda euphoria. The 12 lasted about 5 days. So here I am again trying to find relief hanging on to the few hydros I have left. I live in OK and the docs here just are tight asses that wont give me shit. I go in there and be as honest as I can be and they do nothing. It is like Im asking for a lot of morphine or oxy's. Now Im once again trying to find hydro's paying 4 for 7.5s and $5 for the 10s.
Im mainly writing this to let off some steam... and asking advice from anyone who has went through the same kinda shit. I dont know what to do? Ive never tried ordering pods or have any experience working with them. Can someone spare a moment to give a brother some knowledge or at least tell me where a thread is I can look at. And if anyone is in OK pm me, Id appreciate it. Thanks guys and gals for your time reading this. Really.

Zydone did seem to be a good pill. I had two not at fault whiplash injuries 2 years apart from idiots in New Orleans running stop signs. Vicoprofen and Zydone were faves. I overcame one phase of snorting and smoking heroin. I used to get it delivered to my house. I also came back from snorting Oxy's (running around the New Orleans Convention Center working all loaded, what a trip!) I started Methadone off the street and loved how you only had to dose "once" a day. Now I've been going to the clinic since the day after Valentines'. I had moved due to Katrina and didn't know any connects, I was like fuck it where's the clinic? Funny thing is, I tested clean of opiates and they still let me in and dosed me that day!

Glad things are working out for you, brother! Sounds like you started from legitimate chronic pain; maybe that's the path you should pursue beyond the immediate methadone treatment.....

If you feel you can stay reasonably close to what you're prescribed (which can be hard, especially at first until your doc becomes more confident about the level of pain you have!) then there's no hard and firm reason why you couldn't taper down off methadone for the next several weeks/months, then go "clean" for a short period of time while you find some kind of pain management doc (or regular doc who is willing to manage pain properly) who can treat your pain itself.

Maybe staying on MMT is the best choice for you, only you can tell. But I tend to assume the best of people who have involvement of legitimate chronic pain in their addictions.....and hope that eventually they can shed the stigma of being "just another abuser" to be sure that their pain is always controlled without any kind of preconceived notions about how addicts are "supposed" to be handled.
