Morphine solubility??

I am trying to find a suitable organic solvent for morphine.Does anyone know its solubility in various common organic solvents? I cant find fuck all except water and ethanol, plus what it ISNT soluble in.Basically, I am trying to find a better way to make H from M pills.Rather than make a paste,dry and acetylate everything the pill contains, I would prefer to extract the morphine, dry and then add AA. Water is OK, but it is difficult to evaporate the water without burning some of the M. And the other option of leaving it to evaporate for 2 weeks is no good. What about acetone? The paste method is fine for higher strenghth pills (100 + 200mg), but with lower strengths theres too much crap to morphine.

My weapons of choice are distilled water, or rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol. Be careful using ISO as it is obviously flammable, both solutions are best dried with a fan. This usually works overnight and leaves either a very stiff, brittle plastic-like "putty" with water, or a thick oily "opium-hash" with ISO.

You can also combine fresh buds, vaporizer leftovers or excess marijuana plant material with ground poppies and make a true ISO "opium-hash" from the combined plant materials. If you find just the right ratio, the resulting product (particularly if made from vaporizer leftovers because the cannabinoids will already be heat-activated) can be rolled up into little balls and swallowed directly with no need for further cooking or processing.

Any idea on the solubility of morphine in isopropanol, ie 1 in 21 for water. I do like the sound of the pot/opium balls, just need to grow some decent pods. Cheers for that.

just wondering about the iso...i've read a paper (nothing official, just some off hand paper written by someone who has done some morphine extractions and conversions to heroin).... that said that isopropyl alchohol will dissolve not only morphine (will it dissolve morphine sulphate? hcl? any others? base?) but will also dissolve the waxy matrix, therefore you will still have that when you go to filter it or convert it to heroin

with your lower stregnth pills i would crush and cook them with water then cool in the fridge to get rid of the waxes. it sounds like all your looking for is a wax free product which is what this will give you once evaporated.

Since I don't inject it's not an issue for me....I generally either roll the ISO extract into balls and swallow, or smoke the extract. I have generally found that ISO smokes better than water extracts, but as you say....it does bring with it more plant material. Probably sugars and waxes along with some oils.
