I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with the fair tax, but trust me, it is really worth looking into...

http://www.fairtax.org (http://www.fairtax.org/)

A progressive national retail sales tax, eliminates the IRS, repeals the 16th amendment (income tax) monthly 'prebate' checks (yes, the government sends YOU a check...)...

Give me some feedback guys, and I can answer most questions that you have, I am the fair tax coordinator in my area.

from what i know, differences in cost of living are not ironed out enough for me.

tax law enters a new phase under this idear, and i can't see that it's better. ie., i'm not sure the fair tax is all that fair.

i prefer a flat consumption tax with expemtions on food and a few other things.
