Lately I've been out of control on meds and spending the rest of the time drinking beer and trying to sleep and thinking about when I will get medication, this has also hurt me physically because I notcied very troublesome walking and shooting pain like I've never felt before and I was actually taking bupe for the week and I could walk, barely. Every step was a shooting pain down my legs from my lumbar fusions herniated discs, etc. Anyone else have these problems turn into a "FAILED FUSION" etc. or you think it's just a bad sprain.

I know there are some people on here who have had the same surgery I had. Well not exactly but pretty damn close and just different country doctors which may differ material and incision placement and entry such as anterior fusion and exterior fusion, pedicle screws from hip bone or from artificial material, etc.

Please share you difference, or likeliness, your problems, current meds, and how you feel stuff like that just for my own curiosity stake, you're not going to get in trouble no one's asking each other for meds etc. This is just more of a call out to all those with bad backs who have had some type of surgery even if it's minimally invasive.

Please do share, I am anterior lumbar l4/l5/ and S-1 broad disc herniations, spinal stenosis, DegenerativeDiscDisease or DDD, etc. Basically my back is fuckered gents and ladies. ;)

I'm pretty mobile and can still have sex, and do most tasks just not carry heavy objects but when I go out or around work when not near certain things I have to carry a cane or my disability will be taken away from me somehow so I'm playing it safe, not saying I don't need it just not all the time, more of a precaution for me and my disability.

Please do share if you don't mind, believe it or not I've been on and off of opiophile sooo long I've been logging on exclusively once a week and sharing my opinions and such because of this awesome site and answering questions that people ask me, this place is literally my home and I miss it when I'm not on it like I haven't been lately.

I'm trying to step down, turn in my FENTANYL CROWN, not yet of course but I will be weaning myself off of it with methadone and rely on just methadone as m primary medication and of course some breakthroughs here and there, or buy a bucket full ;)

Fentanyl has become for me the crack of opiates I wake up every hour on the hour wanting another hit at times it's getting quite ridiculous and when I'm w/ding or in Bupe Boredom all I can do is drink try to laugh oat downloaded torrents and drink German beer until I sleep waiting for fent to arrive.

Several days ago I picked up a rather large script of done' from my doctor at the klinikum straight from a factory bottle and said he was going out of town and lets just say, yeah, yeah, it's alot.

This was a sign that I need to stay on track and go straight with the done'e because fent had been destroying my life I tried wearing them on me only to have them bunch up where there is no skin contact in bed when I awaken I have to get up, tape it, retape it, it's a pain in the ass the euro ones, are the US ones the same? S(American, lol)WIM sent me some American brand "JANNSEN?" Durangesic, I think that is the brand and I never stuck them and wore because w/d was crazy at that long time ago. So do those the Sandoz and the Mylan stick well for people who wear them as RXd, etc. Please let me know....

I'm going to stick with done' and breakthroughs afer a done small break if I'm hurting really bad. Only thing I really can't do is bend over correctly and life heavy objects, I'm supposedly not supposed to life over 9-10kg or 20 or so American pounds. Everything else is OK as long as I'm on meds the only time I feel pain free is when I'm foiling the fentage. I feel buzzed, who wouldn't? But I FEEL MOST IMPORTANTLY........... NORMAL! Yes, feeling normal without pain is a high in itself, believe me and those CP patients in here on OPI know what I'm talking about.

The transition to methadone only will be slowly tapered from the patches I believe from 100mcg to 75mcg for a few months with the done' not sure the dose yet with the combo, and so on and so on and let them know how I do. It has been 2 weeks from my concern that the patches were the best for my pain but they've been a pain to keep on the body, like I said before, anyone else have problems with this, an I'm using IV TAPE and surgical tape and the buggas' still come up and scrunch where parts aren't touching the skin for hours when sleeping or walking around at work and I usually don't find out unless I'm in the bathroom and check it or when I awaken from sleep finding the patch half way out, scrunched, folded, etc.

That's when I say " Hurensohn! Fick Dich! Scheisse!" all the goods, lol. The switch should be within the week when I do the the double entendre? I'm waiting on multiple doctors to talk to find a dose to put me on with the done and the patches together so I'm not in w/d trying to combine both meds but not such a drastic change that I go into w/d or more pain. (IE EXAMPLE: 100mcg to 75mcg and 40-50mg done' a day, etc.) Please share if you've had a failed fusion, have had a surgery close to mine, any time of spinal surgery, etc. your progress and how long it's been going on, etc. MEDS, etc. so I can compare and tell how long this shit will take to last, and just curiosity mainly.

I personally had an anterior fusion (in the front) I have maybe a 23cm/9 inch scar on my stomach area O think artificial pedicle screws from TITANIUM and my hardware is TITANIUM (oh yes baby ;) ) Does anyone have steel or do they use that anymore, I know they used to. Also there is disc replacement now where they put in an artificial disc, it's been in Germany for a while and just recently was approved for the USA I believe, I've heard mixed results from this, depends on the doctor I think.

We had a great one in Bremen, the first and only doctor doing ARTIFICIAL DISC REPLACEMENT on the spinal areas, lumbar, thoracic, cervical as well I believe and he was supposed to be great, but I moved from Bremen but that was before my MRI with herniations, etc. such irony huh? Supposedly he was good or just because the US didn't do it yet because alot of Americans were flying to Bremen to get this operation, and he had a website that was like a vacation package, a vacation at the hospital, lol! It included a hotel for family, etc. Hospital stay, operation and meds all in one EURO package, pretty expensive but worth it all together.

Anyways fellow Opiophiles, I'm back, and will be posting more often now if you haven't noticed how long this one was already but I felt most of the information to be pertineny, so why not?

And let me know if you have had similar problems such as mine and surgeries and try answering some of the quetions if you can for my own comparison, thanks everyone!

Is the iv tape you are referring to the same stuff I told you about? Maybe try to find a flat spot on your body that doesn't move, that might help with the patches staying in contact. I have the same issues with medical adhesives, they rarely stick, and when they do, they take skin with them when taken off. Good luck with getting off the fent, I'm trying to cut down on my dilaudid intake, so I know how you feel.

not sure if it's the same thing, it's very very thin and easy to fuck up and put it together you have to put it on just right or it's wasted, it's the film strip adhesive very very thin that goes on maybe a tube IV that's going into your shoulder inside vein main vein to keep it in place, that kind/

Yeah, that's the stuff. Probably the best thing you will find for holding the patches on. It really is super thin, don't even think of opening one if there is the slightest draft, it'll fold over on itself before you can stop it.
