The medical field would be fucked if the opium poppy never existed.

not so much the medical field, but those requiring medical services requiring analgesia ...or dope junkies would be fucked as well....

but I'm sure we'd resort to other methods... sucking off giant millipedes and things like that... or using lose-dose venom as an analgesic...

mesaconitine is an alkaloid that I have researched via bioassay.

apparently this alkaloid can reverse even established opiate tolerance, the plants its found in are alll generally of similiar alkaloid profile, aconite species that are sold as prepared root material for chinese traditional medicinal use.
I am wondering if it might be a component of HEANTOS.

I prepared correctly a few elixir bottles of the root slices.
and tried the liquid in a few doses, correct doses, to test for any toxic, or disagreeable effects.
I noticed really very little if any effects, which is a good sign to start with.

an opiate dependent person might find, after some daily dosing, that this plant product allows a person to comfortably cut their opiate dose.

some type of kappa opioid agonist effect is suggested.
very interesting proposal.
this plants alkaloids are used both topically, and internally, and are a mainstay of chinese herbal therapys.
besides the chinese system, the plants are used all over asia, India, and possibly Indonesia as well.

toxic alkaloids or overdose will make a persons mouth tingle. the root has to be prepared correctly, boiled for an hour and strained, disposing of the root slices and keeping the tea.

that's awesome, how obtainable is this stuff? Lowering my tolerance - that's awesome.

prepared aconite root is easy to obtain, and rather cheap.
a few pounds should cost no more than 50$, and would produce about 100 doses easily.

this is a very toxic plant, and should only be approached with the proper research and attention to preparation.

the proper recipe is simple, boil for an hour, and strain the liquid.
keep the liquid, discard the mushy roots.

apparently, the toxic alkaloids cause a tingling sensation.
this is how the herbalists test if the root is potent.
if it tingles, its OK to harvest, but then the root MUST be properly prepared,or death could soon follow.
