Hard time finding 30mg Oxycodone/Roxicodone

I get scripted 30mg Roxycodone every month. My normal pharmacist is starting to have a hard time finding it. He said that they are running out at his supplier and that Actavis is out of business. Either way, no other pharm around town has this and no one will order it. So, why is it such a problem, and how do I find a better supply? Any info is appreciated!!

Don't say that just yet. The doc upped me from 90 to 120 today. :p The pharmacy will have them on Friday or Saturday, and he even broke a few rules and substituted 3 days worth in 15mg pills (24 total) He's going to fill the rest on Friday or Saturday when they get here. My pharmacist rocks!! He always takes care of me. This is especially good since I'm a bit dope sick, or was, and really needed something.

OTOH, I did get the lecture from my doc on being careful with these and whatnot. So, no more upgrades any time soon.

Nope. Not me. I pulled it off of some website with a bunch of funny mugshots. I figured it would be a good avatar. As for the doc/pharm, I know I've been VERY lucky. I went from Tramadol to 100mcg/h fent and 30mg roxi's within a couple of months. My doctor rocks! He's a bit old (74ish) but that's OK. He probably remembers when Heroin was legal.Lol!!

Last time swim got them they had to wait because the man had to go to 3 pharms. All they had were those shitty ethex brand. It's happened before at the end of the month and I assumed it was the fact that everyone and their mother down here has a script and they're all getting them in the last few/first few days.

I haven't heard of a shortage but I can find out. I hope this isn't the case because both me and my husband get scripts. I'll find out what's up and post back.

Nothing about a shortage of oxycodone ir on the FDA's website. Though there is a Fentanyl patch shortage, I think most are already aware of.

Might be a localized shortage. The two posters that said they had a hard time getting it, where are you from? and the poster who got compounded capsules?

For some reason, my pharmacist has never had the 30mg Roxi's. I always get 240 of the Actavis 15mg tablets. I got my script filled yesterday and they didn't have quite enough Actavis to fill the script, so they included seven yellow tablets. I don't know what brand they were, and since I took them first, I can't identify the markings on the tablets. But, my pharmacist did say that they were switching manufacturers and that the yellow tablets would be what I'd get from now on.

Does anyone have an idea of what brand they might be? Taking them orally, I didn't notice any difference in potency. I guess if Actavis is out of business, then that makes sense as to why they are changing manufacturers. And my pharmacist didn't indicate that there was any kind of shortage. I guess we'll see next month.

Those are Ethex brand reddragon. No difference when taken orally. For people that snort them they will notice a bit more powder and they are hard to crush but you get the same results anyway.

Yep. I just got myself a handy dandy pill crusher last time when I got the Ethex brand. The first one I tried to crush shot out from under my crushing tool like a bullet across the cab of my truck. I promptly bought the crusher after that. :o

this is what my doctor put me on recently and I've had no problem finding them. 30mgs. everry 4 hours and 700 mgs. of soma along with it.

I'm waiting for someone to chime in from NJ...when I get a script for my 70 roxi a month, there was this one pharmacy I went to and they usually had them, for the last twom onths they say we don't have generic just name brand and it cost me $420!!! The other chain Pharmacies won't even touch they script as they say, "they don't stock it" when two weeks prior my friend went in ther and they filed the same exact script...fuckin people.......

nj here.. try walgreens or any major chain store. pharms won't tell you over the phone if they stock it or not as store policy, but most major retail pharmacys usually have it (stop'n shop, drug fair, walgreens, shit even target.. kmart, some eckerds, almost all CVS). the most i ever paid for #100 30mg BRAND Roxicodone was at a stop n' shop and it came to something like 280$ w/out insurance. but shit for only #70 BRAND 30mg you get charged 420$ dude?! thats unheard of!! lol were you sick at the time or something? sounds like you couldent wait / find it cheap enough in time.. heh :rolleyes:

You got f'ed in the A dude. I once had to get the Roxane brand Roxi's, 150 of the 15's, and the total was $150. The Pharmacy I worked at had the brand 30's for about 50% more than the 15's, so 150 would have been about 220-230. 70 would have been roughly $110

They either thought you were a sucker, or they made a huge mistake in the price.

I actually prefer the Mallie's to the Amide/Activas. When I looked at Activas' website they did not even have the Oxycodone IR (15mg or 30mg) listed in their product catalog. I'm thinking they are no longer making them and that is accounting for the problems some people are having. Xanodyne makes the brand name Roxicodone. 30mg are Blue with imprint 54 199. 15mg are green with imprint 54 710. 5mg are white with the imprint 54 582. Also Qualitest makes a generic. 30mg are blue with imprint V4812. The 15mg are green with imprint V4811.

To the poster who paid $420 for name brand. That sounds more like the price for OxyContin 30mg tablets. Did your doctor maybe write of that or Oxycodone ER. There is no way brand Roxicodone should cost that much.

I now get 180 roxicodone 15mg every 15 days, it was only 70 bucks without insurance for the ETH brand. I also have a hard time finding them, i have to go to 3 pharmacys everytime to find one that has my qty. Ethex is the only brand i have ever gotten and i've been on them close to 3 months.

Someone just got anRX for #100 Roxicodone 30mg. No problems at all, pharmacy had them in stock and the price, if they didn't have insurance, would have been $125. I should also add that these are Amide/Actavis brand. So as of now, still no problems here with shortages or price increases.

For the last few years OC has been harder to find, since alot of pharms wont carry it for safety reasons, so perhaps they are doing the same with the IR's now.

waf, I was thinking the same damn thing up until I looked up which companies made them. It has to be the ROX prefix, :o:D. I mean Roxane makes Roxicet, it would seem totally logical to think they made Roxicodone too
