Euphorically, how does Fent when smoked compare to H when IVed or sniffed?
Umm shorter acting. Smoked fent is the crack of opiates IMO. It is euphoric but I find H to be more so.

Yeah. The duration is the only disappointment I have with fent. Well, the insane level of dizziness is really kinda shit too, but still.
Iv h, or even iv dillie blows smoked fent out of the water. Dont get me wrong I love smoking fent, but it just doesn't compare.

I've posted this same short message many times on the fentanyl forum (with some variation):
When I played around with Fentanyl, I never really experienced any euphoria.
However, even without any rush, I was hella insensitive to pain, or painful stimuli.
SwIm occasionally would top the Fentanyl with a small dose of another opiate. The injection was painless (due to the Fent), and I could still feel the other opiate's rush.
So herein lies the problem with Fentanyl: even if you're careful and taking many small doses trying to find a rush, you can be lead to a false sense of security.
You think that since you haven't felt a decent rush, that you still have room to negotiate dosage-wise. So you take more. You might take too much. Fent is so powerful that it blots-out its own euphoria (so it seems to me).
I'm convinced that this is the reason many people OD when playing with Fentanyl.
Even when SwIm was experimenting with it, there were times when you had to remember to breathe.
The pain & burning one experiences when holding one's breath normally, the urgency to breathe and oxygenate are just plain obliterated with a decent dose of Fentanyl.
If you do experiment with Fent, have a knowledgable sitter with you.
And if its any consolation, those unfortunate people who have OD'd and died from Fentanyl, quite likely experienced no pain what-so-ever. No burning in the lungs to blow-off the excess carbon dioxide, not even a twitch of their diaphragm in a half-hearted attempt at respiration.
Its comparable to being totally numb: no pain, nor any real joy. All too easy to just go limp and fade away.
If you were a close friend, I would strongly advise not even bothering with Fentanyl. You will notice a greater rush from heroin, morphine, codeine, poppy tea, oxycontin, etc..., than you will from Fent.
If your experiments with Fent are successful--please post your results. I'd be especially interested if you disagreed with my assessment that Fentanyl doesn't provide a rush.

It brings a smile to my face to hear a Scotsman use the word "hella' in a post. Warms my heart even...:)

ive only smoked tar, so my experience is real limited with h, but the feelings alot different than fent.
h feels a lot more natural and puts a smile on my face for an hour or two, a good fent hit is just that super intense synthetic headrush, followed by a desire to keep hitting it till i black out/run out.
id have to disagree with the iv dillies > fent opinion, id swap my dillies for an extra patch any day

You really prefer fent over iv hydromorphone? I find the rush wayy better then smoking fent, but dont get me wrong I like smoking fent.

I agree , you don't get eurphoria or real joy like you said with fent, even when you smoke it, your really fucked up and such and may even nod off but your not really eurphoria and joyfull, really good for pain only ok for having fun with.

The difference between the dose that gets you nice and high and the one that kills your ass is too small for me to mess around with fent. Besides trading in the angry baboon on my back for a silverback gorilla who's just been kicked in the nuts doesn't appeal to me, just not a good deal, risk to reward wise.
