I have three scripts that are outdated. Meaning they are six months past the original date and pharmacies won't fill scripts that are out far outdated. How risky would it be to fidget with the date on the script?

Keep in mind all the other information on the script would be the same the only thing that I would attempt to change would be the date.

Seems like it wouldn't be that risky but I would like a few opinions from people that have experience in this area.

Tis risky...not sure if you would get away with it....really depends on what they are for, and if the pharmacist feels they need to call the doc and confirm it.

Two of them are for #60-90 hydrocodone and the other is for 90 percs. I assume it would be easier to fill the hydro. I thought it would be easier to change because it's the date only but i'm probably wrong.

I was considering just taking them to some mom and pop pharmacies and trying to convince one of them to fill it but that would probably never work considering my age as well as other factors. I don't think they could do anything to me then though. The scripts aren't stolen and would be pefectly fine for me to fill otherwise.

Obviously, changing the dates would probably have other consequences.

I would try at a mom and pops without changing the date and trying to get them to fill it, bring cash.

If you do change the dates you MIGHT (even though I doubt it) get away with changing the hydros, definetly not the percs though.

Why did u wait so long to fill those scripts, they aren't even half bad scripts...

Sadly, changing ANYTHING, including the date on the CII (Perc) prescription is forgery and could bring down the law on your head.
That said, with my history of risk taking, I'd probably try it. Not recommending you do that, just stating how crazy I am for oxycodone.

Are a handful of hydros worth a possible forgery conviction?

As Nate says, try taking it,as is,to a small pharmacy and if that doesn't work..........I'd leave it.
