To all opioids loves out there, I need your help. I have an Intrathecal pump with dilaudid in it( maxed out dosage). I also take fentora for breakthrough pain. 800mcg. 1 every 90min. or 16 per day. I don't have insurance , but I will be getting both insurance and medicare within 3 months. My pain doctor only charges me $160 for a pump refill that is good for 3 months. I have RSD stage 3, Chronic MRSA staff infection in my right leg, I have had 15 surgeries on my right leg in the last 8 years. So I have severe neuropathic pain, and intolerable bone pain. I was on morphinr for the pump, but it didn't help. I am also algeric to methadone.Orally I have maxed out on almost every drug , but sufentanil. I was on dilaudid 8mg 2tablets 2 every hour for pain, and opana 30mg ir, 30mg per hour for examples. I wanred to put that in my pump with Ketamine for the neuropathic pain.
I was advised by a friend to tryLevo-dromoran. Can it be used intrathecally or for breakthrouvh pain?
All of your wisdom about what drug combos I should try both for the pump and orally is greatly appreciated.

i am sorry i don't know much about pumps but i am also a cp patient and the only things that work for me are a couple of 80's oxy and percocets throughout the day...
i hope you find the anwsers u need and feel better...

Yeah I think this combo would be worth trying out, I hear oxymorphone is great iv, probably even better for pain relief as those who take it orally/nasally find the pain releif GREAT!

Maybe you could try loperamide intrathecally (kidding.) I just remember people saying the reason loperamide would never work was because it can't pass the BBB but apparently this ROA bypasses that.

I assume you have tried Neurontin, Lyrica, Cymbalta, the tricyclics, yes?

That'd be an experiment to try.
Do it for science man, you know for science.

There are ways for it to pass, but most agree it isn't worth the trouble of going about it, unless a more effecient way comes about. Personally I think the research of NEW opaites would be more benificial.

yes I have tried with only the cymbalta working. Do you think the oxymorphone would be better than sufentanil intrathecally?

I really only mentioned the oxymorphone because it is similar to the dilaudid you are taking now but is more powerful and lasts longer. I don't really know if it would be better than sufentanyl. You might just have to try both and see what works for you.
