had my denist app. today, and well my mouth was swollan and killing me.. The denist could not take xrays, she decided to medicate me first she gave me 2 t-4's then an hour l,ater took the xrays...well i have to take anitibotics before the work and she offered me vics, and I declided saying they really did not work.. I expected her to not give me anything, then she asked what works? I said i took percocet yesterday and they worked fine, she worte me a script for 60 5/325 percs with 2 refills....thought this was very intersting for a denist being it is like pulling teach for them to prescibe anything stronger then t3-t4, but yes she is a keeper!!!

Most Dentist don't give Percs Tylenol 3 or 4 like you said. You must need a Root Canal, sucks. Some will write for Valium or Xanix if you need a lot of work.

Wow, SIXTY with TWO refills!! That is amazing! And Percocet, no less. I need a dentist like yours; when I had multiple extractions at the same time all I got were crappy T-3's also, and I've never got anything stronger than Hydrocodone (for a fun case of dry-socket).....Enjoy!

one avenue of approach is to say that hydrocodone and codeine are not properly metabolized by your system, and that you need something like percocet, if the DR doesnt understand that mechanics of that claim then they shouldnt be prescribing pain medication. they risk prescribing a medication that will cause an allergic reaction.

I can almost beat that though Jacky: three weeks ago I was crippled with gastroenteritis that had triggered the mother of all migraines. None of the migrain medicines worked, and i was in agony, so a doc was called in. When he saw my (slightly exaggerated) pain he decided the only solution was a shot of diacetyl morphine in the ass!
I thought my time had come... but it was obviously such a litigation-safe dose that it did nothing worthwhile - either to me or the migraine! Damn. Almost there though...

His own daugher (my old lady) was in excruciating pain about six months ago (from a bad sinus headache) and he wouldn't do shit for her.

There is one thing, though, about that script - since percocet is a C-II (schedule two) controlled substance, federal law prohibits any refills on it. C-II meds can't have refills on the script. They also can't be given over the telephone, except in an emergencey (extreme pain qualifies as an emergency), and if that's done, the doctor has to mail the written script to the dispensing pharmacist withing 48 hours. You might want to pass that on to your dentist, so you can take full advantage of the refills she intended to give you. Hopefully, she'll agree to write you another - at least one more - script for 60 of dem bad boys.

i to have a dentist that believes that nothing can be better than a little rest and an advil. as of right now im paying 180$ for a 60 count of 40mg OC namebrands. and i dont have a prescription. hopefully it will last:)

yes i know c2 meds cant have refills written...she told me to come in and pick the sprict up i was shocked, my doctor isnt that good.....i want her to take up pain management!

after having two teeth capped one was a lot higher then it used to be and caused a lot of pain. I hadnt gotten much sleep the night befor because i had been reading but i used that to my advantage. When i walked in i said i had been in a lot of pain (AND) i hadnt gotten much sleep last night. They asumed it was because of the pain, i didnt push the issue :). They gave me T3's only 12 of them but i figured it was worth filling.

my old denist dint give shit, when the most he ever gave was 12 5/500 vics...it was the first time i say her so it was weird that she gave me t4s to help me with xrays, and then percs,,,glad i didnt get greedy casue they oulled a bottle that looked to be 500 count of t4s right in frint of me then but them back in a unlocked cabinet...lol i thought abiut it for a sec...i have anouther appointment n friday...i hope she gives me anouther script hpefully post dated...or i gott to go back again but i will pay my 10 co-pay to get the rx

I used to go to dentist in Florida who used to give me 100 millagram demerol. I got so addicted to them i used to go to his office once week.This went on for at least 8 months .HEAVEN. Anyway here in New York you can only get 1 prescription no refills on a class 2 narcotic. Good Luck.

I have to do get A tooth pulled soon and I am kinda dreading it last time I had some work done, I got scripted 30 7.5 ES Vic's needless to say I was strung out and a mess with in 3 weeks. I keep putting this off and am seriously thinking about telling her to not prescribe me any opiates, and thats almost insane coming from me. But than there are the other days I 'almost' pick up the phone to call and request some pain meds from her because I just want them. Shit 30 Vic's aint shit 1 maybee 2 highs but still. IDK what I am going to do. A friends got #20 20mg oxycontin's once from his dentist, I didnt believe him till I saw the bottle. I am just about ready to start my detox of Suboxone [its been 4 yrs I have been on it now, with 2 breaks one for jail one when I kicked it and survived a few months before I was in the wraith of heroin addiction and just cant handle that shit anymore]. I am just about 30 and have had an opiate in my system for almost everyday since I was 15 barring rehabs, detoxes, jails, attempted kicks, etc. I am on house arrest now so I figure wtf mine as well give it a shot. So come Summer time I wont have to say: IT WILL NOT BE LIKE LAST SUMMER for the fucking 10 12 or 13 summers in goddamn row.

I cant believe I am even contemplating request no opiates for my dentist visit, maybe I am actually serious about kicking this time [like I havent been in the past but something is just different this time]. I remember being 13 and having some tooth stuff done and begging the doctor for something stronger than t-4's. I woke up in the other room after the versed/fentanyl combo erased my memory and had the nurse help me out to the car to meet my mother who informed me that they told her I was begging for opiates. I got hydros, and a new skateboard deck that day, never will forget that day. Thinking back I wonder wtf that doctor was thinking having some young 13 yr old telling him codeine doesnt work for my pain I need something stronger, I wonder if he thought hmm there goes a drug addict in the making for you...
