I was gonna copy it and just say "taken from BL" but then i saw it was posted by one of our own so i figured i should ask you.

Definitely looks interesting to say the least, another opioid compound from a plant unrelated to the poppy.

Aw hell, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akuammine is found in the seeds of this plant. So in africa they use 250 mg of plant material. Considering an ounce of these seeds sell, RETAIL, for $10, it sounds promising.

I think i might try this out once i get an extra $10. The problem is one of the alkaloids is actually an ANTagonist that gets metabolized into an agonist. So i HOPE that there isn't a limit to how much of that antagonist can get metabolized at once. Of course, this isn't a particularly high-affinity opioid, so even if it does precipitate withdrawal symptoms, it would most likely be solved by a big fat dose of drug-of-choice. Strange that anyone would ever WANT to take an antagonist, it's like, "no, dude, i PROMISE once it's in your kidney it'll turn into an agonist!".

The other thread had somebody mentioning that it had a decent amount of affinity for the kappa and mu receptor, so if it works, it'll work well.

If/when i try this stuff, i'll probably start with a quarter of a gram (roughly the 250 mg dose the african pharmacist used on people), and work my way up and report my findings.

Not a lot is known about this plant or its alkaloids, is there any solvent besides chloroform that would work well with these alkaloids? I can probably get chloroform but i don't think it'd really be worth it for an ounce of plant matter.
