How Long Before taking the Sub

Hey yall,
I'm finally going to run outta oxy. Been a while! I've been taking anywhere from 1-4 80s a day for quite a few months. This week I binged a little more than usual so I'm out!

How long do I need to wait before I do a line of subS?
The last thing I wanna do is send myself sick.

I'm only going to be out till around 7-9pm tomorrow night but dang it I dont wanna feel shitty at all!

Gonna have to show some backbone on this one, my friend. ;) I've done this several times, and I recommend timing the last dose of your DOC so that you're feeling w/ds (mild) before going to bed. Then, you sleep most/all night, and wake up feeling like shit... THEN you take your sub.

If you can wait until you really feel the w/ds (for me, muscle spasms all over, hot/cold, running nose and yawns, starting diarrhea, etc.) you will get the best effect from subs with no fear of triggering worse w/ds. And since NO ONE wants to be awake while feeling that shitty, let it hit ya overnight if possible.

If you go 24 hours without, then the subs will not provide instant relief, it will be like this: your first sub dose will make you feel a little bit worse. Your next sub dose (take it 2 hours later) will apparently do nothing. Your third sub dose (take it 2 hours later) will provide relief.

If you wait 48 hours then the subs might provide instant relief. I don't know for sure; I've never been able to force myself to go 48 hours.

By the way, you said "a line of subs". Do you plan on snorting it? Don't. Put it under your tongue, it works better. Not sure about shooting it, I've never tried that.

If you were hoping that subs will allow you to avoid WDs entirely, sorry, it doesn't work that way. You have to either pay now or pay later, there's no cheating the system.

Um, if you're talking about scoring in less than 24 hours...don't bother starting subs.

Second, snorting IS the way to go. Everyone's opinions are going to vary, but I explained to you how I've used subs and its always worked well for me. I've NEVER used them when I was going to score in less than 24 hours....so I can't give advice on that. Why waste the shit when you can really use it down the road when you're gonna be out for a week or more....?

I'd wait at least 12 hours before starting subs...and I've never taken them that soon after a dose, I've gone around 20 hrs between fixing and starting suboxone. It takes about a day just to start feeling bad, and more than a day to find/reach the level of sub. to keep you stable, in my experience.

Honestly, I'm not the type to suffer if I can avoid it and I wouldn't expect anyone else to either.
However, you have to wait until you are already feeling mild withdrawal symptoms for it to do it's job. Then you'll already be getting more oxy and would have to factor in the blocking effects of the sub. you took less than a day ago. I know it wouldn't block anything too badly if you kept the dose low-but still, it doesn't seem worth it, IMO.

i was fine with 12 hours after last dose of oxy around the level you take...although i think buprenorphine is evil and a dangerous drug and i would never take it again

Short answer is it depends on your body, your DOC, and the ROA by which your partake in your DOC. The best thing I can tell you is to wait until you are in mild to moderate w/d. This means sweaty, watery eyes, yawning, hot/cold flashes, and slight restlessness. If you are taking your OC 80s as directed (I mean swallowing them) then this should be about 24 hours after the last tablet you swallowed. If you are snorting you OC, this could be anywhere from 6-24 hours after your last dose depending on your habit. Bupe is a strange drug, I have taken it 4 hours after taking small doses of hydrocodone and not had any problems and I have taken it 16 hours after snorting a roxicodone 30 and had it put me into full blow w/d. The good news is, if you do take it too early and it makes you sick, it only last about 1-2 hours and then you start to feel better. Good Luck!

Thanks guys once again for all your info. I managed to get to go get my shit allot earlier. So I'll be picking up here in a couple hours. I am ok. My dear dear dear husband had hid some over the last few months. He left me a note this morning when he left for work with a nice lil football on it! yeppers he saved me one.
Unfortunately one doesnt get me high but I feel much better..lol

When I shoot my roxi's I find that I can take the sub about 12 hours after my last dose.....but if you wait until you fee lat leat thge least bit sick, you will be good to go.........

No problem. Let me say this though, it is very unpleasant having full blown w/d hit you in a matter minutes. It usually comes on gradually but if you take it (Suboxone or Subutex) too early you will know in about 15 minutes what rapid detox is like! Like I said it does only last about 2 hours but it is a hellish 2 hours. One time it happened, it was extremly bad, so bad in fact I could not tolerate it and immediately spent every penny I had to purchase 20 Roxicodone 15mg tabs. I took ten and the hubby took ten to overcome the w/d and blockade. From that point on I have been very careful with Bupe.

A friend of mine was on MMT and was pregnant. During her delivery they gave her Nubain-made her deathly ill! Stupid doctors. The doctor apologized to her but she was not a happy camper because they (nurses) would do nothing to help her overcome the w/d. Thankfully her husband was able to go home and get her a 40mg wafer she had at home for take homes one time and bring it back to the hospital for her to take. How messed up is that!

I'm not going to argue the point with you, but I sure as hell tried it and was bitterly disappointed. I sort of felt like it hit me a little stronger at first but then wore off a LOT quicker. If my subs dose was going to last a whole day (and that's typically what they are intended to do) then snorting it was setting myself up for a long bitter night. I resumed the sublingual method not because I have some compunction to follow the directions on the bottle, but because I wanted to get the most out of my subs.
