SWIM wants to make his heroin very nice and white and clean. He knows that most recipes call for charcoal. But SWIM successfully extracted caffeine from black tea before and this calls for magnesiumoxide (MgO), because charcoal is supposed to bind some of the opioid, too.

In th eprocedure with caffeine SWIM did this:

- He had the caffeine extract, still with lots of colour and plant matter, in pure ethanol (800 ml)

- He then took a seperate container and mixed about 50 gr of MgO with about 200 ml water.

- The extract and the MgO-mix were mixed and allowed to dry completely.

- The dried powder was scraped off the vessel and chopped to a fine powder.

- 500 ml water were brough to boil, then poured on the powder, the stuff was mixed and then

- filtered.

- He repeated this with 250 ml two times.

- Discarded the stuff in the filter and dried the 1000 ml aqueous solution which left him with a beautiful white crystalline powder.

- This was then refined by an A/B.

So, would SWIM have to do the same when he uses MgO?
Should charcoal be used?
