did anyone here the story about mike from eyehategod during katrina? homeboy and his GF got popped looting a pharmacy during the storm.... i gotta give some props for that, i mean a fucking national emergency goes down, the city is being ruined; and their first thought is "sick, prime time to rob a pharmacy".....

one of my best friends lived in NOLA from 95-katrina, said the dope scene was really huge but yeah all of its taken a hit due to the storm... usually the "bags" are just foil packets, quality is known to be rather high.... swim has heard "foil" or "boy" are pretty acceptable terms for dope on the street.... but yeah, even though the scene took a hit, its still NOLA, dudes are still banging it out hard im sure....

Yeah, "boy" is a major term around here. But, swim isnt one to go cop downtown or in the quarter from some random junkie. Just too scared to even try it.

Just start of small. How else do you plan to get dope? Unless you want to get taxed like a mother fucker it is your best bet to go to the hood and get it yourself. Just start off small and try to work your way in and get a number. But seriously how else do you plan on getting it this is not weed we are talking about

Swim evacuated the day of the storm, (stupid i know..figured it'd miss us) and went to Panama City, FL. There were more than a couple people in the hotel swim was in that were going into serious withdrawal. It turned out there was a guy there who robbed a pharmacy, loaded up a truck that he had stolen with pills and ended up in our hotel. When people figured it out, the shit didn't last a week! heh
A local pain doc started Rx-ing painkillers to just about anyone from nola who asked so that got most people by who could afford to see him until we started coming back just to score. 11 hours round-trip from there to NOLA in a car full of fiends just to cop! It probably would have been funny if we hadn't just lost everything.

But yeah, point being...you're not the only one who would head straight for the pharmacy in a natural disaster. I don't know how I feel about that,I don't think it's so bad...gotta get well, right? As long as you wouldn't clean the place out and then start charging sick people exorbitant prices, which the guy i met didn't..

Yep: sounds like u know yer way around tho: I go back to the T's and Bluez days...but I always would hassle until I found k4's, which were also around...but that's changed, and katrina changed everything anyway...Now, I'd do what I always do: find a county methadone clinic in Algiers or just hell, walk from the end of the quarter down into the Ninth Ward.famous old Burgundy st in the quarter'll take yah there....dope city....just don't stay after dark: they be vampires there... ;-)
