Changes to the board.

I spent the day making changes to the board, upgrading, cleaning up the filesystem and database, and going through all the theme templates which needed some serious work -- a good eight hours of quality time with the phile. Lots of new features and optimized code...

Please reply to this thread with any reports of missing images, lack of functionality, etc.

Mods and admins will notice some new functionality - play away, I haven't had any time to look at it.

Thanks for all the work - the new feature for listing friends and/or contacts - is that mainly just to see quickly which of your board friends (or bored friend, couldn't resists) is online?

Just wondering (although I think is is cool, I added one friend, hope to think of more) what it is for, if mainly for convenience of seeing if they're on line that is cool but wanted to know if there was more to it than that.

it looks like you can create social groups which are public groups, but separate from the board. contacts i'm guessing are people in your group while friends are the equivalent to a myspace add...

Suddenly today when I post a reply, a whole bunch of extra lines keep invading my text box. Like for instance, how I'm typing right now and I'll hit the enter button to go down to the next line only it'll take me down 2, 3, or 4 lines sometimes causing big old spaces. Then I'll try and backspace and sometimes it'll take em out and sometimes it won't wanna.

Of course its not doing it now, but when I got quotes it does. Or maybe its when I got images in my quotes (like in the 'user pictures' thread with people's pictures).

Anyway, its not a big problem, just wondering if it was some kind of glitch or a reoccurring thing (it keeps reoccurring for me all day). Just thought I'd bring it up.

And BTW, the new extra features are cool. Nice to have little stuff like that to play around with. Also, I want you to know you have my eternal gratitude for helping to ensure the site stays up. Good to be back.

My post-odometer rolled over to 1300 a few posts ago, but remains on 1300. Anyone else's froze up? Not a big deal... just wished it froze up on post #420 :D

I have the same problem, like people post a lot - I see 5 new post in one thread just minutes after reading the last one - and then all of a sudden nobody seems to post for an hour or so.
Also in my user options 'new subscribed threads' keep popping up as new 90% of the time when I have already read the last poster?
It's nothing major but just to let you know. maybe it has something to do with my PC?

Not sure if this is what you're referring to, but I have noticed that in a thread with a poll, it gets bumped as having new posts (by the last poster) every time someone votes. I don't know if that's fixable; it's not a new problem though. Actually, Google tells me there's an "Update Thread Last Post on Poll Vote" option in the board settings, so maybe you guys want it that way. No big deal. Thank you, bi11i and jacky and everybody else involved!

Yep have the same 'problem', but maybe I'm too computer-dumb to know where to find it ;-)

There is a thing where you click on the persons profile and you can see the last ten visitors to ones profile.
That's a really neat feature. I clicked on Gor to add a friend and noticed it. You can see the last 10 ppl that looked at the profile..

Totally agree. There are some nice changes here and many new opios on the scene. There is a nice fresh wind blowing through Opio, it even picked up some toiletpaper in the recent storm and dropped it somewhere far away..
