I use one pharmacy mainly and I have accounts at two others I've been too once... Is it possible to call in a refill to a different pharmacy I got the original script from even though I shouldn't need it for another two weeks or so and still be able to get it filled without any "complications"?

IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE??? REALLY need to know.

probably not. They would see your fill date, either off the bottle, the paperwork from the first pharmacy, or whatever. You would have better luck trying to do a "vacation fill" or something- go to the original place and tell them you are going out of town for a month and you need to fill up.

With everything computerized like it is now, and especially on a refill, you probably won't be able to get it filled.

If you don't need it for 2 weeks why risk it? Everything is computerized. And if you try to get it filled at another Pharm then they have to call the old Pharm to transfer it. Theres too much of a paper trail. Best of luck if you try it though

It's that I don't need it for two weeks, It's I can't get it filled for two weeks. I just wanted to get fucked up. Guess I'll just wait, Or try the vacation thing. Does that really work? It's not a narcotic So would that make any difference on gettin' the refill?

what are you trying to get filled? That could really make a difference if its not a big deal, also the vaca thing really does work

It's for tramadol.

seriously? you can buy tramadol online.. google it.
I don't think you'd have an issue at the 1st pharm getting a vacation refill... also, how fucked up do you really expect to get? The seizure threshold limit is around 400-500mg's... I've taken up to 800mg without much more than a headache - but I wouldn't make a habit of it.

really? I read in a pdr that the seizure threshold was 700mg. But it's all in close area I guess. I think the vacation excuse would work. Just go and tell them you have to leave town and want to take your meds with you. You shouldn't get even a funny look with trams

Besides oxycontin and dilaudid, tramadol happens to be my favourite, and I've done more than my fair share of opiates, it fucks me up and lasts forever, I can get scripts for hydrocodone, codeine or darvs, But I choose to stick wit the tram. It's not for everyone, But I fucking love it. I know all about the risk for seizures but I can take 800 mg at a time without a problem. I know you can buy it online But I'd rather pay 4 dollars for my 90 pill script at walmart than pay a hundred dollars online, Know what I mean? Guess I'll try the vacation thing, Whats the worst that could happen...

if it's your fav and only costs 4 bucks, you'd be crazy to buy it online. I hope you get your script and wish you the best night.
I agree about trams being better than codiene and darvs too. Not better than hydro for me, but definately better than those 2.

The vacation thing works like a charm but there may be a catch - I did it with my benzo script in Jan or Feb.
I ran out (I wasn't really going on vacation, bit I was taking someone to the airport, so I rationalized it that way!)
Just told the pharm (actually the insurance co or pharmacy benefits manager makes the decision about paying) that I would not be in town when my refill was due, and that I would need it while gone. Bingo - immediate fill.
The PROBLEM came later -when I tried to get my next script filled on the regular cycle, it was all screwed up and they wouldn't fill it when they normally would. And I NEEDED it (really needed it - being out on benzos when you've been on them for four years is no joking matter)....not just WANTED it. The WANTING was back in Jan with the "vacation" refill.
So yeah, do it. It should work just fine once or twice a year.
Just be aware that maybe, not always, but MAYBE they might extend the days on your next fill since they'll think you have those extra pills, since essentially they are giving you an extra month's supply to "take with you" on vacation. Get what I mean?
It is hard to explain. I don't understand it comlpetely either. I just know it is still screwed up.

smooth --> But why? :) Even if i dont like things, i still keep them. You NEVER know when they will come in handy. Even if its just for a trade.
I would say tram is better than darvs, but not as good as vikes or codeine in my opinion. I prefer au naturale first, then oxy a distant second.

Well I called the pharmacy this morning and tried the whole vacation thing. It worked. No problems, no questions asked. Very easy. Thanks for the tip! Ah...Nothing like opiates :)

Because Some of my docs are gettin a lil suspicious about my usage (Even though I am in pain and I have never gave them any indication I was misusing, But no more refills for me at Urgent care, Thats after they gave me percs) Just curious.

Let me give you a BIG head's up about this shit. as i am going thru alot of it right now!
THE PHARMACIST can and will call Dr. about fills, i am not sure as far as Urgent Care and ER are concerned.
But if you come across a gun-hoe pharmacist...they can fuck your whole world up!
They fax over all the fills you've had the date, how much, what it was...blah blah blah
You are young and in pain, you DONT want to be flagged this early in life, or forever for THAT MATTER
play your cards right....as i say one poster say recently....when in doubt WAIT IT OUT
Just be careful....if im not mistaken its trams you take right???? I could be wrong, i didn't re-read thru this post...but if it is...why not try an online source instead of endangering your script and the relationship with you doctor!
Maybe even be honest with the doctor, tramadol they are willing to script endless amounts...ask for an increase, complain that you are having break thru pain. What is your condition if you don't mind me asking? Be careful, if it is trams we are talking about...there is risk of seizure there, i've had quite a few very opiate tolerant friends have seizures from that crap!

Looks like it worked for you just fine ;)
In my experience, it depends on the pharmacy. I fill at a big, nationwide chain...but this particular location is the only one that has let me slide with early refills. For example, I just grabbed a refill of Hydro a full week early. I could have never done that with the other location (of the same chain).
Maybe it's because I paid cash....stupid insurance lapse. But I've had Fred Meyer pharmacy (Kroger for some of you) tell me no at ONE fucking day too early!
Anyway, what I wanted to say is that I had this discussion with a friend who's dad is a PharmD, and this is what he told me; On the computer at every pharmacy in the USA, there is a simple database that can tell the following info with numerical codes that come up:
(this is verbatim what he told me)
-'Reason for conflict code', ie; Early refill, etc
-'Other pharmacy indicator'
1). Your pharmacy.
2). Other pharmacy in the same chain.
3). Other pharmacy.
-'Previous date of fill', In YYYY-MM-DD format.
-'Quantity of previous fill', 5 characters indicating the quantity.
'Other prescriber indicator'
1). Not specified.
2). Same prescriber.
3). Other prescriber.
So, the basic fact is that they know every little thing about your script habits, who's prescribed it and when and what......he also mentioned to me that all pharmacies report to the DEA quarterly and are subject to audits at any time and that's why the records are maintained with such detail.

I was in a car accident like 8 months ago and they're not sure if it's a bone bruise or the begining of avascular necrosis. But my hips all fucked up. it seemed like it was gettin better for a while but now its gettin worse. Here's the thing on my last fill they couldn't get the doc that gave me the scripts last name off the message so they just put my regular doc, The nurse practitioner was givin me my fills So I'm just a lil worried about gettin caught up in something. I'm confident I'll be able to talk my way out of it, But my moms comes wit me to my ortho appointments and she knows I've had a problem with pills before and already suspects Im at it again So I'm more worried about her finding out than anything. Not that she'd say anything I just don't want the drama. I don't buy trams online cause they're about 100 bucks a pop when I'm payin 4 bucks for a 90 script at walmart. Guess I'll find out when I go to my next appointment. Was just wondering what to expect. they had no problem fillin the script and its not a narcotic so I'm not that worried, But ya never know.

Tramadol is a scheduled drug in some states now. I'm wondering how much longer people will be able to buy them from online pharmacies.

At the end of the year I always get a printout of my prescriptions for tax reasons. Where I go they give me a complete list with medication filled, quantity, day supply, and amount of refills remaining. I go to a national chain, but have no problems refilling whenever I want. I refill once a week on a 13 day supply. They know I travel weekly, not sure if that's why they don't give me a hard time and have never called my doctor. Just try to avoid the big name pharmacies as they tend to have stricter guidelines.

Well i went to my PCP today for a follow up and I was informed that Urgent Care had labeled me as a "drug seeker" The thing is, after i was in the accident I didn't have insurance and no doctors I called would take no fault insurance So I HAD to go to Urgent care for the first couple months in order to get pain meds and I had to go every week or so cause they'd only give me enough to last that long and I was in some serious pain at that time. I knew this was gonna happen because I heard the receptionist discussing how many times I'd been to the er and urgent care, Which is a violation of HIPPA...But anyway I called urgent care today to find out who I need to speak to to get this cleared up because even though I misuse my shit I do actually need it. The joys of it all...
