:(my detox program called withdrawl management has always allowed prescriptions from the Er doctor to have the patient of the protical for atleast 5 days, mixture of valium 10mg usually starting at 4xs and i think its called clonidine, klonoplin? i gunno its a white oval pill, lol i should know this and then advil 600's, well now the protical is not avail, seems as they think some people are abusing it,,, i wish the best of luck to people in my city getting off hardcore, herion, meth, booze, and opiates,,, as without something in a lot of these extreme cases can caus seizures, and keeps the DT's down, and face it who could do detox its so boring without a lil chemical help to pas it by,, i keep thinkinhg of the movie basketball diares, where reggie is allowing him to DT at his house cold turkey, he looooked like hell and was in sooo much pain,,, but couple days later, he looked and was better, well in his case, for prolly just a couple of hours,,, but i bet leo wouldnt had a better DT process with the protocal,,,, others feel he needed to go through this to remind himself how it feels gettin offf this and to keep reminding urself u wont do it again....i on the other hand wanna do all my things again,,,,,just have a be smart lke a ninja and not get caught!, lol

Maybe they're just not giving any meds to opiate/heroin addicts. If somebody's highly addicted to alcohol or benzodiazepines, they have to give them something or risk patients dying. Heroin withdrawals, as bad as they are, are not life-threatening, and they don't have to give you shit for them. I was in the hospital once in ICU, dope-sick as fuck, and the docs told me their standard protocal for heroin W/D was to do nothing. And that's what they did... I suffered through it.
