i agree motts,,

i mean let's say for the sake of the discussion, the kid really didn't know what he was taking...i mean i never did something like take an unknown drug (besides a couple bum e pills here and there), but teens do some crazy shit, impulsive, u know?

even so, though, shouldn't he have had enough common sense to try ONE pill? this way if it's too weak, okay, take another, but if it made him feel sick, then he'd know not to take any more..i think he would not have died from 80mg released over several hours, even if completely opiate naive

he could have recovered from 80mg, but 320 is pushing it.. especially if he was unfamiliar or unsure in any way about it..i mean four is asking for trouble, imo...

furthermore, it was allegedly stolen from s/o's grandpa's lock-box, so i think it's pretty reasonable to assume that everyone involved knew it was at least some kind of painkiller...any way you look at it, a teen lost his life needlessly, and it's a tragic mistake...

I also read that the suspect teen who supposedly supplied his buddies, including the guy that passed away, is going to be charged w/ voluntary manslaughter and drug possession...i don't know if i am comfortable w/ that. yes it's tragic the guy died, no denying that, but i really don't think it was in any way done on purpose; like they prob. thought they were gonna "get high" and have some fun...also, to be honest, the kid who supplied the OC didn't ever say to take four of them at once, you know? There has to be some blame on the individual who OD'd too; it's not the "dealer's" fault in this case...

i mean, fine, if they wanna "teach him a lesson," i guess the possession will send a message. but manslaughter? i think that's pushing it a bit.

I dunno the court system is strange these days. I mean I can see there point, ya everyone was wanting to get high but he gave the kid an illegal substance and even though they just wanted to have a good time, you know if the kid did not get that charge the family would be up in arms. The courts have to please everyone these days, oh well. it's bullshit.

as far as the dosing man, i dunno if it's just me or what, most drugs that i wanted to try i read about, asked questions, looked up imprints etc.

thats smart using, and to me ya this guys death was tragic and all, but this is what makes drug users and the culture look bad and it pisses me off. we are not all like this. but god bless em.
