SWIM has asked me to post this
I've been taking suboxone for about 6 weeks, at a average dosage 0f 4-6 mgs per day (with a handful of 8mg days thrown in there). My tolerance to oxycodone before that was about 120mg (as in if I took 120 id be fuckin mercked out of my gord). Last day I dosed with sub was monday (3/3) with 2mg. Any guesses at how long before I will be able to get an effect from oxycodone (roxi's). PS I know this is a retarded thing to do, so it's not necessary to mention that.

i know of someone who was in a similar situation...except they used more oxy before going on bupe and they were on bupe for around 8 weeks
it took them 2 days to get a good feeling from a full agonist, and with 3 days being better. surprizingly, their tolerance did not go up to the full agonist(they got high off much less) and their addictive behavoirs seemed to be much less pronounced after several weeks on bupe to where it was almost non existent (very very weird, not having anything for 15 hours and not even thinking about doing more, ect.)
also, 12 hours after dosing a full agonist, they jumped back on bupe and only required 8mg for the induction day and with very little discomfort
^^ I have similar experiences. I take about 1-2mg/ day and no more than 4 on induction days and I have halved my tolerance to full agonists in 2 months.
Hooked on suboxone worked for me!

If your an IV user then I can tell you how it works for me (me also being an IV user) and maybe it will work the same way for you though it does vary person to person.
Normally I take 4mgs a day. Been that way for a few years now. Down from 8mg/day a few months ago though.
A day in the life...
2mg dose at wake up around noon. Normally on days that I would use I would find myself in possesion of a handful or 80's between 6-8pm. I try to wait as long as possible but normally I wait around 10 hours.
When not on subs I would usually cook up two 8's and fire that up for a decent rush and nice high last 8-10 hours, diminishing in the last few hours. When on subs the rush is only slightly less than normal and I notice no difference in length of that warm feeling we all know and love so much.
It's been two and a half months since I have done anything but subs and I intend to keep it that way till this summer or winter but when I used to do this "switcheroo" I would consider the slight loss worth it. Take note of the fact that after that first slightly dimisnished shot you/I still had more pills to do for however long they last and you will normally experience no loss after you punch through with a nice big shot and considering my next shot will take place close to 24 hours after that last sub dose.
When I say worth I mean that slight loss is totally worth not having to live in fear of sickness. Burroughs said "Junk takes everything and only leaves insurance against sickness."
I found my own insurance and haven't worried about dope sickness for years and still enjoyed the benefit....Sorry i rambled here.
