There has to be a simple reagent test, like what is used to test ecstasy pills, that could tell heroin from fentanyl. RoboJunkie, Oxycontinuously, STVP, I'm lookin at you guys.

Ideally, we'd be talking about a procedure just like testing ecstasy- take a keybump out of your bag, drip on some reagent and watch the color change.

Think of how many lives could be saved if needle exchanges could pass out a simple color-test to detect fentanyl in your heroin! People wouldn't flush their dope down the toilet just cause it had fent in it, but they would probably be a lot more careful (especially the type who takes the time to actually test his/her shit).

Please help me out here. If there is a reagent that works, I'll buy some and test it out, post photos of the results, and bring it up with the local excange program. Others could do the same, especially in places like Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philly, and Camden, where improperly cut fent kills lots of people.

Thanks for your help. This could be important.

Here's a DOJ report on how reagent color tests react to different drugs- pretty good shit, but no fentanyl. Click here (http://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/nij/183258.pdf)

BTW -
I couldn't find SHIT on the internet, not even the simplest bit of information, like "ketones turn it green, allyl groups turn it red".

There's just no REAL info on reagent tests available online. Sucks.
