View Full Version : CWE - what am I doing wrong?

I've tried CWE many times with limited success. I'm sure I'm getting most of the apap out, but from how high (not high, I should say) I get I seem to be missing a lot of the hydrocodone.
I add the crushed pills to warm water and let them dissolve. I shake that up and put it in the freezer. After 15 mins or so, before it starts to freeze, I pour it onto a coffee filter inside a funnel sitting in a cup.
It takes FOREVER to filter anything out. I spend like 2 hours trying to cwe 10-15 pills. Eventually I get so frustrated I just drink what I've been able to filter and give up on the rest.
Should I be trying a different kind of filter? The coffee filters I have are generic target ones - are there any that are better? Is there something earlier on in the proccess that I'm doing wrong???
Any advice would be appreciated. My source of dillies is out for a while and all I have left is shitty vicodin.

do you make sure the coffee filter is wet before you pour the CWE solution through it--if not, the coffee filter is sucking up all the good stuff. Also, 15 minutes in the freezer may be too long, try for half that time and if it still isn't cool enough put in the fridge or use an ice bath until it cools down enough

I've found layered cheesecloth to be more effective than coffee filters.

Yeah, the coffee filters are wet, forgot to mention that. Perhaps I will try the cheese cloth tonight....I dont want to waste my last pills

Another filtering method which I have found to work well is using a woven cotton dress shirt, use the botom of the shirt, it should only take about 15 min to filter, be sure your not using too much water as well. Even though I realize it is not recommended, just try eating the pills. 15 5/500 won't kill you just be sure to space it out through the day and drink lots of water.

use progressive filters- start w/ cheesecloth, then a t-shirt, then a coffee filter. Only takes 5 minutes. That way your not clogging the coffee filter with all the bulky stuff.
and when your almost done, throw the cheesecloth, coffee filter, and filtered APAP (not the liquid you created) in the t-shirt and squeeze the last bit of liquid out.

Thanks, agentorange....that sounds like the way to go. I can't wait to get out of here and get home to try it :)
Thanks for the cheesecloth tip. I also used a different (not as insulating) container to put it in the freezer and you could see it had separated a lot ore clearly. I'm still waiting for the high to kick in (I just took it) but I'm hopeful and it went MUCH more quickly this time

The way I do it and iv done it 4 times without anything going wrong until today when left it in freezer too long while in shower and it froze haha...didnt do really much to it, it just didnt feel as strong as it should have...so NEVER let it freeze!
Ok so anyway when I do it I crush the pills up VERY fine and just add cold water to the batch right off the batt, stir a bit and then straight to the freezer. Usually takes about 15 to 20 min to seperate, and when its done I can see a seperation kinda like when you mix oil in water, with all the tylenol sunken to the bottom and a clearish liquid on the top. When I filter I have an old pair of boxers I cut up into nice big square sheets. Mine takes awhile to filter too, just force it through with ur fingers and squeeze it as tightly as possible to try and get every last drop of liquid out, dont discard it!! you almost made me cry haha jp lol
Do it like this and I promise you'll be feeling like you should!
Hope this helps!!

Silk also works very well as a filter.

I like using silk screen too. I got some free from a tee shirt place I went in asked if they sold any and they said I could have the old ones if I took them off the frames they were on. I took them home and boiled them and let them sit in iso alcohol, then got lots of use out of them.

I do it two different ways: A coffee filter slows me down too much, when I'm "desperate" so I just use a t-shirt, which isn't quite as effective, of course, but works "good enough," and is a lot faster...
The other way, is just to stir them up really good with some water, then have it sit overnight in the fridge, and in the morning just drink it very carefully, without stirring it up, and without filtering it. I'm not trying to get all the apap out: just trying to add a little harm reduction to the mix, without loosing too much dope...
