At first i watn to apologize for my English. It is terrible, i hope you will be able to make something from it.
In European Union are forcing their country's to switch from Subutex > Suboxone.
I also was forced to switch. And i didn't liked it at all. At first Suboxone seemed not to work on me. At night i was awake, soms sort of hyper behavior. And it did not go away.
After some hours i took some Temgesic 0.2mg. (only buprenorfine), then it gave me the feeling the Suboxone "kicked in". Just like a kick-starter! But it worked still very strange. One moment i seemed to be stoned, the other moment i was sweating and felling very cold (turkey).
So i called my doctor and asked vor the Subutex 2.0 or 8.0. It was not possible to order these products. But the 0.2 buprenorfine, that was the only solution. This is (thank god) still orderable. I think because this dosis is normaly used for other patients, with pain after surgery, for the treatment of chronic pain etc.
Now, i use 40 pills of 0.2 Buprenorphine WITHOUT this terrible NALOXONE.
And i know, they say it is not possible, that they only added this Naloxone for the mis-users who try to inject this stuff. But i read alot about this stuff. Also the basic patient-manual witch goes with the Temgesic 0.2 pills. And there they specificly saying: Medicine against addiction from painkillers with Naloxone or Naltrexon lower the effect of Temgesic (Buprenorfine).
I think it is not fair to force you to use a other medicine, especially when they are useing these words above.

Greetings, and welcome to the site.
As a long time Bupe user, I agree (and my wife as well who also uses Bupe), that despite what is said about the Naloxone, or whether it even affects our opinion, but we both find that Subutex works better than Suboxone when the same dose is taken. Whew, sorry for that long sentence....
But yes, with 'Tex we get better sleep, is much better when insufflated, and generally seems to work better than that orange crap Suboxone. I got switched to it when I complained of headaches, and the doc switched me right over :)
Anyway, good luck----but, man, that's a lot of Temgesic to take...

Well hi there Speeseend!! We already know each other ;-) and you know how my forced switch from subutex to subuxone ended up... it went bad, very bad.
I am now trying to switch to tramadol..
I agree with you as you already know but there other members may think think otherwise + we all respond different to to different drugs.
I think your English is pretty ok by the way.
Nice to see you here at Opiophile, welcome!

I just recently tried switching from done to suboxone and I couldn't handle all the weird side effects. I had the same thing happen, like I would be o.k., then I would start sweating and feeling like w/d's. I also had some weird shit happening like restless leg syndrome and bad breathing problems, bad. Then there was the headache, which I really don't ever get, ever. I actually thought that due to the fact that I was coming from methadone that they were going to give me subutex for a while but no, the doctor tried telling me that nobody around here would prescribe subutex, I know better than that though. I think that we all need to boycott suboxone, we need to remember that our health care system is consumer controlled. Without us there wouldn't be suboxone. I went right back to my methadone after 4 days of this nightmare. I really believe that if everybody did that then they would have to give us tex because then these pharm companies wouldn't have the cash to pay there friends in washington d.c.!!

Sorry speeseend, I have no personal experience with buperenorphine. I just wanted to say "Welcome to the site" and your English may not be perfect but we can all understand and read it just fine.
There are many members here who's native language is English and their posts are more difficult to read and understand.
Good luck with the bupe, I hope you find a suitable maintenance program.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! This is a great platform. So much experience. Almost all my questions are already answered.
Saint, ik heb je inderdaad eerder gesproken/we spoken earlier, it's nice to read positive stuff about you after your awfull switch from Methadone to Suboxone.
I feel great at the moment, Buprenorphine is, for now, the best opiate for me.
Greetings,
Speeseend
I have only ever been on suboxone, on and off for 2 years for various reasons, and its always worked for me. Sometimes if i am coming off an opi binge than i sometimes need to use up to 24mgs to feel well but after that i can base at 4mgs after a 3 to 4 day taper. maybe u just have to take more to get used to the switch?

I already use Buprenorphine for two jears now. I know that a higher dose is not okay for my. I feel sick above 8 mg. a day.
I now wonder how bad this stuff is on the long term. I just passed the two year-border and starting to worry about this stuff.
I could not find that much "readable" story's about this subject.
But Kdog, thanks anyway. For some people ít will work what you suggest.

some people have what is called a "hypersensitivity" to naloxone. that is, it will effect these people at MUCH smaller doses than normal people. perhaps you are more sensitive to the naloxone than others are. ive never had subutex, only suboxone, so i dont have any personal experience on whether they hit you different or not. i would imagine that if youre taking high amounts of suboxone, that the naloxone would have an effect. but you already said that you feel sick if you take more than 8mg in a day.
