Taste this

So,

When I plunge a shot, I end up with a strong smell... of what? I cannot, for the life of me, describe what this smells like... it's kinda sweet... not flowery... fuck. I have never smelled anything like it before or since.

The stronger it is and the longer it lasts, the higher I am.

Is this common? Let's hear it if anyone else has experienced this. Also, a physiological explanation would be much appreciated.

It's been a while since I had the pleasure........but I know what you mean. To me it always reminded me of Scotch Tape. It was stronger in some dope than it was with others, but it was always there.

Kinda like how being dopesick always has a certain smell to it. It's not anything physically on me or around me. Just something in my nose. It always reminded me of how a basketball in a high school gym smells. Kind of rubbery, kind of sweaty and in general unpleasant.

Oh yes, that taste is quite unique indeed. I can usually tell how good the quality of that particular batch of dope is by that taste - it is usually more pronounced, as you'd expect it to be.
But yeah, that is one of the first things i have noticed about H - that lovely, warm taste on your palate right after you do your shot.

Love that taste in the back of my mouth...some dope has a more "chemical" taste where the better stuff (in my opinion) has more of a "medicinal" taste.

I've had the olfactory experience that HLITL describes, only a couple of times. It's quite pleasant, (wouldn't know how to decribe it) but it's there for but a fleeting moment...

Dude I'm pretty sure I know what your talking about. Good dope or a strong ass hit ALWAYS left a taste (or i guesse smell) in the back of my throat and up towards my nose. I'm pretty sure this is what your talking about right? Almost in between a taste and a smell?

Yeah, it's different when you shoot it versus snort it. Obviously, when you snort you taste the drip and what not. But with a shot, there's this aftertaste in your mouth, I just cannot tihnk of the words to articulate what it's like, but you KNOW EXACTLY what it is and I kind of don't mind it.

well smells and tastes kinda go together as far as senses go but yeah i get a warming and distinct flavor in the back of my mouth and yeah i guess a smeel of the same flavor.

When you shoot it you get a unique taste/smell. That's due to it passing through your lungs.

It's completely different than the "taste" you get when you snort or when you smoke.


It'd describe it as a sweet/flowery smell/taste. It's very brief, and I know people that notice it less than others with the same bag/batch, but in my experience, the stronger the taste/smell the better the dope.
