We just got this new "Stericup" is a disposable Sterile Cooker in a little sterile packet. Just try it for the first time and it work nicely, the only thing that's don't work optimal is the plastic handle is make the cup wobble a bit so I use it without that.

The one we get have a "Sterifilt" -a single-use sterile filter- in the packet to. that's the one on the right, is a filter you put on the tip of you syringe, they say it
"remove 90% of the particles measuring less than 5 microns, and 99% of all particles greater than 5 microns from the solution."

You can find more about that and other harm reduction gear at http://www.exchangesupplies.org/index.html
Take it with a grain of salt, is advertisement not all of it is as good as i sounds, but most of the thing they make is nice nice.

If I can find a cam I will take some pict of it all, there is a few more things in the packet we get.
Anybody else have any experience whit the cup or the filter?

Good stuff... I don't IV, but I find the really good needle exchange kits interesting.

That's great they are passing out wheel filters, those will save your veins. Also, they keep the point of the syringe from dulling from contact with the cotton/spoon while drawing up, which keeps your veins nicer.

Exchangesupply.org seems like a pretty straight-up, caring organization, and if I were an IV user, I'd spend my $ with them. I've been thinking about either volunteering at a needle exchange in DC or starting one if there isn't. Nick?

There you go AO and it's cool of you to even consider helping out........of course it's a good way to make umm "friends".

Re the stericups, yeah a lot of people complain about the handles.Try not using the piece of plastic that comes with it.Try a piece of cloth-hanky or bit of your shirt instread.
