Has anyone ever detoxed off subs, after being on them for a long time.
I ask b/c I no someone who has been on subs for 5yrs & on about 1mg a day. He was explaining to me how him & his Dr. are planning to get him off subs & start a Detox, b/c being on subs is just like being on a done but easier to get off of.
So he will be taking oxy's at a low dose then switch to hydro till a 5mg a day is kool, then done, this suppose to take about a week or so time.
After being subs that long I found out it is just as hard to get off of after so many years, just like meth, but the subs just got a shorter half life, also found out that after 1 week free of subs is when your body really starts to get to you which will last up to a few weeks time, but w/some things to ease it up will help in all ways.
The plan they have sounds great.
I was wondering if instead of taking the oxy's at 1rst would it be better to take a fent patch, for the sub detox, b/c they going oxy then hydro w/clonodine, but wonder if fent would be better b4 the oxy? What do you guys think?
