in my quest to get help with paying for my suboxone i have discovered two ways.the first is the salvation army, they might not pay for the whole script but they WILL help you out.personally they paid for 15 of my 8mg subs.you must go to the head office in your area and set up a meeting.CALL FIRST to set one up.be honest with the person and tell them you want to change your life around.they will help.

the second.get insurence through the state in which you reside.the process may take a few weeks(in the mean time you can go to the salvation army) you may need a special approvel so from the begining tell them you need suboxone.

i now pay $3.00 for my script of 56.i still pay for my visit only because my doctor is in maryland and i live in pennsylvaina, but if my doc was in pa,my ins would pay for that too

good luck!!!!!

That's pretty cool. I hope people don't abuse this though and rob the people who really need it. If anyone desperately needs this go for it, but I'd hate to see people abusing something like this. This is kinda weird how did you figure this out? Are you sure this is like nationwide??? It seems like maybe just something that some cool local manager or whatever hooked you up with. It'd be pretty shitty to try this out and them be like fuck no and then have admitted to some locals you're a user and they start telling everyone.

Ok this is one helluva long link (EDITED TO SAY: well shit, it was before when I copied and pasted it) .... but Salvation Army International DOES get involved in Drug Rehab services (men only I guess, not women) and I know from experience that our LOCAL Salvation Army would assist with emergency money for maintenance meds (this is in the midwest) since my company at the time was a major donor, and we earmarked money for that purpose.

The link above though takes you to a WAY MORE comprehnsive set of services than just paying for bupe...... but yes indeeed, addiction recovery is one of the INTERNATIONAL Salvation Army's missions and if you can't get to the link above, just google them and go to their internation site and search from there,

So it's not impossible. Also - I started on the international site and then chose the midwest USA as a service area, but I think this is on the international site as well, my Friend in Germany :)

Thanks all for the information. I am sure this will really help someone. I also know that the Salvation Army will help out with Electric bills and rent and stuff. They are a really good organization, to be religious. My brother actually manages one of their stores around here. They do allot of good things in our community to help those who are down on their luck.

my caseworker at the public asst office told me to go to the salvation army, and i told my sub doctor about the salvation army, and when i saw her the other day she told me that 5 or 6 people went and they(SA)helped them out too.and this was in maryland(i live in pa,and thats where the SA helped me)so im pretty sure its nationwide.and they will help men and women, the SA is a awesome thing,im not into religion but since they helped me out i have volenteered my time and i now go once a week and help toutor kids, and even though they know im a drug addict they dident discriminate.like i said they will help you.IF ANYONE TRIES THIS PLEASE POST AND LET US KNOW HOW IT WENT.
