SWIM in Spain is scheduled to get 50 of these 60mg extended release codiene tabs. He's one of thos of us that is lucky enough to get a realy good opi buzz from codiene. He's heard that the time relase formula involves the pilss being waxy and multi colored. Anyone have have any experience with these? Does chewing them make the codiene release faster. Better to plug? I think it depends on whether the time-release mechanism is in the coating or the whole pill. If it's in the coating, then i understand that yes - you can chew them and it will release all of the drug at once. If it's in all of the pill - then you're shit out of luck, but it might work a little faster if you chew them anyway due to a larger area of it being exposed for digestion.

well i haven't personally had 60mg codeine anyway.

I have dihydrocodeine though, 60mg too
Those you could definitely just chew for fast effectiveness

I bought perduretas when I was trying to kick methadone in Spain. They are multi-coloured indeed, but not waxy. Mine were 50 mgs and somewhate mosaique-like greenish, reddish, greyish. Weirdest looking pills I've ever seen.
I didn't get a real buzz from them but then again I didn't take that much, maybe 3 or 4. But they did help with some of the WD-symptoms.
I usually drank some grapefruitjuice and then chewed them up & swallowed them. I still have a few (and I'm back on methadone too...)

I'm pretty sure SWIM meant he's got 60 of these 50mg ER codeine tabs..and yes the time release formula DOES involve the pills being multi-coloured..as said above..chewing them will still be better than just swallowing them but won't completely defeat the time-release mechanism for it's in all of the pill.
Anywayz..talking about perduretas..a couple of those tabs can be seen in Hookahed's av along with a 2mg Xanax® bar,a couple of Hydro's and some other pills..coincidence:)
