So I just went to pickup my monthly opana and roxi script at a reputable pharmacy chain here and the pharmacist said he misplaced the damn script for my opana! He was all frantic and such and him being such a stand out gentleman he promptly issued an emergency fill. It has EMERGENCY FILL all over the bottle, the pharmacy paper, receipt, etc. Anyone else ever have this done? And, there was no charge for it, wtf? I did get enough for 3 days but I didnt think it was possible for schedule II meds? Luckily he didnt misplace the script for the roxicodone aswell. He said he would get it all straightened out asap. I just found this a little weird.

I have gotten an emergency fill before for my xanax. My doc has TERRIBLE handwriting, worst than most, and he had written this particular script so bad it had to be verified- misspelled xanax (xana) and wrote what looked like thworty for the number of tabs. So the pharmacist gave me one tablet for the night (she asked if I needed more, i said no) and had my regular script ready the next morning.
Chances are, they will take the 3 day's worth out of your script when you pick it up. Thats what they did for me- so I got 29 instead of 30 because she had already dispensed one.

i have heard of this happening. A buddy of mine gets methadone 10mg at the pharmacy. he had been going there for a while, so they knew him and knew that he was legit. It was a friday night and again they couldnt read the doctors handwriting(i think the number of pills that were to be given)
anyway they gave him enough until monday when the pharmacy could could contact the doc and they took whatever they gave him out of the script that he picked up

Yeah not terribly uncommon, thank god they have that ability too, in one instance my docs office fucked up the fax on the refill request and the gave me 3 days worth and fixed it the next day. But yeah, they will take it out of how many they dispense for the fill.
