ok so i wrote this up in another forum but didnt realize that it was private. so here i go again.

so i was in a methadone clinic from sept. to dec 7 i think was the last date. anyway the whole time there i was pissing dirty for benzos. so they told me that in october i needed to bring a script in or they would kick me out.

so in i think july before i ever stepped foot in the clinic i went to an urgetn care facility that gave me a script of xanax. so i took that bottle to the clinic so they wouldnt be up my ass anymore. they took down the info and i didnt hear shit about it for awhile.

so dec. 6th i was in a car accident and the next day the conselor called me in because she kicked me out. she said it was for a few reasons. one i lied to the polce about my wreck and she said she knew it for a fact and second for the benzo use even tho it was scripted. there were a couple other BS reasons.

anyway yesterday i recieved a letter from the urgent care center where i got the xanax in july, i havent been there since anyway. but the letter said Dr. XXXXX recieved a letter dated 07 dec. 2007 stating that u were a patient at this methadone clinic. so because of this Dr. XXXXX has discharged you from his facilty. So i called the place and explaiined to them that i had seen him before i was on methadone annd told them that they kicked me out for my benzo use. i said they made me chose between the benzos and the done so i chose the benzos and detoxed, (which was a lie) but i was trying to cover my ass in case i ever wanted to go back there.

anyway. not to my point/question. didnt they break a privacy law? because i never signed anything saying they could contact this dr. they told me the day i walked in there that NO ONE would no i went there unless i signed a release. and even while my conselor was being a cunt and kicking me out, she said the cop from my accident called but she didnt say anything because i iddnt sign the release, (she asked me to sign it tho so she could talk to him, what a dumb bitch HA).

but seriously isnt that illegal? i would love to go after these fucks. any advice is appreciated. thanks

Some methadone clinics will have you sign a waver. Allowing them to access certain records. I don't know the particulars but this may be the case.
I had to sign one when I was in a meth clinic.

They have to prove that you signed the waiver, so you're gonna see it at some point. And I'm almost positive that you legally have access to your own medical records. If you took the Meth Clinic to court, the burden of proof is on them.

Seems like I remember there being a prosecuter turned defense attorney (CP Patient) on the board... maybe they'll chime in.

And sorry to hear the situation. I hope you are able to get adequate care. I hate these conniving cops.

well it really isnt an issue considering i was kicked out of the clinic awhile ago and now a see a doc for methadone. and i really dont need to go to the urgent care center for xanax, cause u can get it out of anyones medicine cabinet around here, or i can go to another one there are plenty in this area.

but i really just want to fuck them and take them down if possible considering they fucked me and when they did i was REALLY REALLY SCARED (of w/d) at the time.

thanks wideopen.

Ein, hey dude, listen. Most states have a prescription monitoring program which I believe doctors might be able to access. With that being said, you are only at fault if you don't tell one doc about the other. It sounds like you did tell the clinic about the benzos so you're not at fault there, the only thing I could see happening is the other doc finding out about the clinic and not wanting to treat you. The clinic is at fault and you should contact the State methadone authority. Not telling the other doc about the clinic is completely understandable and should be confidential. This type of thing really bothers me and I hope you do something, if not for yourself, for everybody else. If you didn't drop dirty for opiates, they really should be happy and encourage you to be treated for your anxiety if you need to be. Maybe if the health care system would take care of people they wouldn't need to buy drugs illegally. I know this sounds crazy but imagine if the gov handed out heroin, the dealers would eventually end up leaving and the world would be much better off, hypothetically any way. This has been done in some countries, they call it heroin maintenance.

i just want to fuck with them becuase i have seen them do some dirty shit to some people there and im sure it happens everywhere.
