I noticed that alot of people are kicking dope in 1 way or another.
I also are kicking, I just took my last dose/shot Wednesday at 2p.m. & went completely a COLD TURKEY for 38hrs, till I started tossing & turning in my bed that I got Burns on my knee's, hip's & shoulders.
So I started to take some 6 worth of k-pins & 4mg xanax, w/some tylenol p.m. w Aleive & sleepy time tea & Chamolie tea as well.
After about 1-2hrs is when I was tossing so bad & weak is when I starting tyo get something like rug/bed burns from this. I should of taking a subutex but since I still had to go see my dealer in the a.m. to pay her the 40buks I owe her, So I decided to get my self 4th of a gram & 3 bags for 60buks, so I used & boy iy knocked me on my ass but w/alot of guilt, NO JOKE DO I FEEL BAD,B/C I JUST WENT THAT FAR OF 38hrs c/t.
I ended eating 4 pods at 3 a.m. at 38hrs so I can sleep, it did not help me sleep but it did help from bouncing around & really making sounds of mouning, never in my lfe did this happen to me.

So how many people are kicken dope or opiates right NOW.
I NO FOR A FACT 4 PEOPLE ARE, IS THERE ANY MORE THAT WANT TO LET US NO.
I NO PAPA V, RON-DOE & 2 OTHERS WHO HAVE E-MAILED ME TELLING ME BUT DO NOT WANT TO DISCLOSE INFO UNLESS THEY FEEL THEY WANT TO SHARE.
SO I WENT AS FAR AS 44 GRS B4 ANOTHER SHOT.
bUT BACK ON THE DETOX TRAIN AGAIN SINCE 9a.m. central time.

I was in my 2nd day of withdrawals last night and I can say the worst part for me is the cold and hot chills, and the inability to sleep. Something that really helps is Immodium, take 10mg throughout the day and it really helps even with my huge habit it sometimes lets me sleep. I did end up getting well again today which was nice, I cant deal with the sickness... Guess I'm not as strong as some.

Hell, I'd say a 1/4 to 1/3 of the people on here are kicking, usually...just the nature of opiate use, IMO...u get a crew this large...as long as I've been on this site, there's always been a few people on here kicking...nothing new...sometimes it's just a mental state...doing same amount of drugs, just how one looks at it...lately, u'd have to count me in that crew: I'm "kicking" in the sense I'm trying to get off methadone...but hell, anybody who's followed my shit at all, knows I'm almost always "kicking" methadone...and lifetime junkies like me, when yer not totally sober--which I've been, a couple times, for years--were either kicking or 'quitting kicking'...haha

Chicago! I'm almost through day 5 and I'm feeling A lot better. Just today I was able to get a script for Klonopins and after taking a few of those I'm really feeling better. If I get a good night's sleep tonight I think tomorrow I'll declare the end of the phisical W/D.

In my case the question should be if there ever is a time that I'm NOT kicking or doing a taper..
8 years ago I quit heroine and started methadone maintenance (which is a bitch in itself and way underestimated like I've said before: everyone seems to think that quitting heroine with methadone is a piece of cake but after IV-ing heroine for 16 years I can assure you it takes at least some willpower to 'only' use methadone + you really don't feel that good physically during your first weeks on methadone alone).
I think I've spent about 70% of my time trying to kick methadone since then. Fast taper, slow taper, switch to subuxone, kratom... you name it I've tried it but I failed everytime because I couldn't handle feeling like shit for months on end.
Right now I'm trying a taper yet again: a slow taper. I am on 35 mgs of methadone now and am already stashing on tramadol and benzo's to be prepared for the worst once I've tapered to around 10 mgs...
I guess we'll see what happens.
I wish you and everybody that's in WD-s here all the best.. it sucks but we all know there is no easy way out.

dear Chi, I feel for you man, I kicked 2 weeks ago.....COLD FUCKING TURKEY....its HARD.....Im back on the wagon now, but I wasnt trying to quit for good......anyways, its rough, I went partially insane......much respect for trying......after day 5 you start to feel normal........the other thing is, I stayed the fuck away from here, and anything that reminded me of using.....it helped, as much as I love it here, and all the people here.....its too easy to get uncontrollable cravings when people are talking about shooting dope and shit all day....I wish you the best of luck, and I have some tips on how to make the w/d more bearable.....feel free to PM.....I used today and Im stopping again for 2 weeks tommorow....later man, and yeah dude that cant understand you is prolly from Lake county or something...peace

Ya I'm doing OK, I guess to where I'm getting & pushing myself to go a far as I can go, 38hrs(USED), then made it 46hrs(USED) but then everytime I run to go get it, IT'S SO MUCH BETTER, THEN WHEN I REMEMBER DOING IT 46HRS B4. The dope sucked 46hrs ago, but waiting & doing the same dope, WOW.
I WILL DO THIS WE CALL KICKEN.
After the 1rst 36hrs, with taking up to (8mg)klonopin in a 3 hr peroid, about 2-4mg xanax in the same 3hrs w/.1 clonodine.
I was tossing SO DAMM BAD, THAT I noticed I got burns on my hips, knee's & shoulders.
When I do get high,I stil have to take 2mg 3x daily of klonopin & 2mg 1x daily of xanax.
Doing this for 10yrs, so when I happen to give someone a bar of xanax or klonopin & see them looking like they DRUNK as hell.:mad:

I found out last wednesday that I would have to have a drug test for my clinic placement (I'm in grad school) so I stopped my opiates cold turkey until just now, when I got home from the test. I dont think they could do anything even if I tested positive since it's not like I'm an actual employee at this clinic, but better safe than sorry. I'm just waiting for my oxys to kick in

I know it sucks for you Chicago. Do what you can and if it hurts too bad, do what you gotta' do. Just remember we'll be here for you no matter what happens. I support you if you want to kick and I'll support you if you want to get high. I am in NO position to judge others.

My first time seriously kicking the habit, it was the leg cramps that really bothered me. That's the only way I can describe it, but it was not really cramping, just very uncomfortable--legs thrashing, flexing, extending (like "jimmy-legs").

Luckily I had some Versed (midazolam) and that helped the first few nights, then, on night 3, it did absolutely nothing!

I just saw French Connection 2 where Popeye Doyle went through w/d, his legs were doing the same damned thing mine were. I think they did their research for that part of the movie.

The best thing about kicking, is how sweet it is to start again. If you're smart, you'll only dose 2-3 times per week. For me, that is about impossible.

I'm currently kicking again, using tramadol, carisprodol, and a little valium & versed when needed. All this time I know that I can end this discomfort with just a few milli's of my DOC. Also knowing how f**king great that would make me feel!

Just kicked from a greatly tapered habit 11 days ago.

Spent a 5 hour plane ride throwing up in my mouth and running to the bathroom every 20 minutes or so.

I looked like death warmed over in the yellowish fluorescent light of a Boeing 757 bathroom mirror. All pupils, sweat and anxiety. 9 days in the Caribbean with cheap beer and a warm Trade Wind did wonders after a few days though. By the end of the trip I felt human again.

But, today was refill day so it's off to the races again. I just can't take the pain that the meds are supposed to treat when I don't gobble them up in 3 days. Maybe I will give responsible medicine taking a try. Stranger things have happened.

I know I'm trying to stay off dope but I still pop the pills. And like Duckfeet said, for most of us its usually we are kicking or kicking (quiting) the kicking.

After going so long it kind of sucks you used bro. But if it's what is best for you i hope you try again. I think it's better to try and fail then not at all. Also while I believe it's a disease I also believe it's always our choice if we pick up and use again. Stay strong man I wish the best to you.

Did you notice that when detoxing on Subs the boredom kicks in double time, I also notice when trying to do a quick sub detox, really weak, boredom like seconds are hrs & hours are days.
When having an opiate like meth or pills that are opiates to detox, it gets tough but the opiates HELP ME IN WAYS I CAN'T DESCRIBE, for some reason the subs on low doses do this to me?

I wish I knew, when taking a high dose of subutex of 8mg 3x daily 24mg, for 7 days I was great, going out to clubs drinking:drink: having sex:whip:was fine.

But when doing a rapid couple day taper on subutex :sickinbed is where I'm at & I have some good pills like xanax,klonopins & clonodine, but still the low dose of Subs do this to me as in HIGH DOSES my body does react different, but I look at a high dose as sub mt.IMO

I'm with ya guys. Last time I shot up was on Sunday morning. I did a really quick suboxone detox (2mg a day for 4 days). I took my last 2mg chunk yesterday. I'm starting to feel the creep of terror up my spine. It wouldn't be as bad if I didn't have to work but c'est la vis.

I'm going for the big quit too. I've kicked before when I've ran out of money only to start again when the 1st and 15th rolled around. I just can't stand being broke 3 days after I get paid anymore. In an ideal world, dope would be free and without consequence. Unfortunately, such a world doesn't exist so here we are.

I don't have a kick-quit though. I'd kill for some bars right now. I'd at least be able to sleep then. Once again, c'est la vis.
