is it safe to take trams with tylenol 3's?

I didn't understand it like his doctor told him to combine the two just that he has both.

It is not safe to take prescription meds in any way other than dictated by your dr., especially if you need to ask questions like this but gotta learn somehow, huh?

If you're taking the two to get a buzz I wouldn't even waste your time. Both are very weak. T3s have tylenol(duh) so make sure you are aware of its toxicity with your liver and all before you start popping them. Don't know much about trams, I had some ultram before and it did jack shit for me but some seems to like'm.

reminds me of the jah guy who used to ask about every tramadol combo possible. (sorry my bad couldn't resist).

seriously though. hjohn. what did you go to the ER for? to be honest I'd be pretty PO'd if i had any kind of pain servere enough to go the ER & got tossed some t3s & ultram. to me both are worthless for pain. combined, i think I would likely just be wide awake & in pain but I hope that it helps you for whatever kind of releif you were seeking.

i'm not a big fan of ultram (other than for menstrual cramps. don't ask me why gals. but for cramps those things rock!)

I had some bad back pain, i was shaking from the pain, and I was clenching my fist so hard i now have bruising.

I told the doc, that i had taken some T3's 2 hours b4 and he said here have 2 more, and here is some tramadol, and also told me to take ibuprofen when i get home, so all up i was to take 6 tablets at once, i was just a bit worried about taking so many pills at once.

the ER's in taiwan arnt very good, i have read threads on here ppl get demerol for pain like mine, but we just get pills here, i was a little upset as i had taken tramadol b4 and never did anything for pain, but he said all together they will help. meh im feeling better now anyways .

Don't take more than like....10 of the T3's and you'll be fine. Don't take more than like 8 of the tramadol and you'll be fine. That's speaking with toxicity, not with overdose from opiates. That depends on your tolerance (but even then i don't think you would).

And lots of people get high off tramadol, and codeine potentiates it well. I would take 3 T3's and four tramadol, but you might need less or more. Start low.

So yes they are safe.

That ER really sucks man. If I were you, I'd look for an alternative treatment for your back pain. At least get a script for some 10mg Hydros. That's terrible!

There is no reason not to take tramadol and apap/codeine together. But as always, you have to watch your total apap consumption.
