valium halflife

so i used TMFSE and got some help but not the specific answer im looking for..... yesterday i took a fuck load of valium 10mgs. probably 250 mgs all night. with no opies.

today i got my methadone and like an idoit took A LOT (for me) 200mgs. it says in one of roxi stardusts stickys that valium has a halflife of 20-100 (36-200) in hours.

so that being said will my taking of the valium today mix at all with the methadone i took this morning. because i took it all within a period of about 15 hours valium last night at around 6-7PM and the done at 10AM this morning.

Sure, you will probably be feeling the Valium until this Wednesday or so, no joke...

Roxi* is quite right regarding the half-life of diazepam...Just a little tidbit: clonazepam (among the COMMONLY prescribed benzos) is the only one with a half life approximately 30% longer than Valium!! Imagine that!

Now, be careful w/ the methadone. i know u know what ur doing, no doubt, but just be careful only reason is that valium and other benzos DO synergize with methadone. Only thing is, if taken irresponsibly or in excess, the synergy is mean-spirited. By that i mean, too much Valium, taken along with too much methadone can be bad. The two potentiate each other. So the valium will feel a lot stronger. Now the methadone is where potential problems can occur. Benzos potentiate methadone, no soubt about it, they increase the euphoria, and the relaxation etc. etc....Please also remember that benzos also potentiate the respiratory depressive actions of methadone...and since methadone lsts so damn long, this increased respiratory depression can be BIG trouble.

Just be mindful of that, and careful, and you'll do fine...I will tell you that 250 mg of Valium is VERY excessive, but u know that already...and when mixed with 200mg of methadone, like u said, you enter entirely new territory. Dangerous territory. It's not like you took 20mg of done and 20 of valium. just keep that in mind, brotha!!

It stores itself very easily in adipose (fat) tissue and builds up there if taken day after day. If you took a fuckload of 250mg, its going to be with you for a long while.

LOL, well glad to hear you woke up. 250mgs of valium is a shitload to take, at least in my book. Really kind of a waste, but I know how it goes. PLEASE be careful.:)

Roxi's info. about the half-life is the same info. I found so as far as I'm concerned two independent sources confirming one another sounds correct to me. I actually had a psych. doctor maybe 4 years ago that would not Rx valium b/c of the half life issue.

Oh yeah I have the 10 mg jobs (blue benzos generally are yummy), legit and all. I've scripted BID (2 x day). When I take both of them at once, or even three or four... it knocks me for a lu-lu for quite a reasonable amount of time. That's why the one really great thing about my PCP is that he'll Rx me 60 10 mg valium per month. What I do is let's say he gives me a script with 2 refills (3 months worth). I don't go back and ask for more until like the 4th month. That way it looks like I take it even less than Rx'ed. Has worked out nicely for quite some time now. If you get tested for benzos, valium is one of the worst ones you can take if you want it out of your system faster. I think xanax and ativan are the best benzos in terms of smaller half-life. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

when it comes to benzos and piss, thats a tricky subject. i have tested positive for benzos up to a month after a one day run on ativan(and thats a small half life benzo). like said they store in ur fat i think. like i said i had to piss for an old bupe doc, and i tested positive for benzos. it could be in that one batch of urine a benzo molicule poped its head out of my body and entered my wizz lol i donno. but roche usa's pdf about vaium said it had a halflife of up to 48 hours. and the terminal elimation half life of the active metablolite (i am not putting that in cause its too long and comlicated to spell lol) is up to 100 hours. heres the link if u wanna read: http://www.rocheusa.com/products/valium/tabspi.pdf

I got a DUI and possession of a controlled substance by doing this. (yes its stupid, I didn't know what was going on, total blackout, so please don't bitch at me)
but I took 90mg of methadone, along with 6mg of xanax and ended up nodding out behind the wheel of my car and I got pulled over. they found 24 bars on me, which Id idn't know where there.

so, just take it easy, if you don't have anything on you, you could still get a DUI.
