SWIM did this:
cooked the shot and cuked it into the syringe.
filtered it through a millipore into a strile vial with septum
BUT
The shot in the vial had some very tiny particles in it, like very thin and short hair. Maybe 1mm long and maybe 1/5 of a hair in a diameter.
What is this? Would it harm SWIM when i.ved? It semms to be dust, which is flying around in the air all the time. But a normal shot, does it contain such stuff or must it be totally clean? SWIM is over careful, I know, but he wants to be comlpetely sure that he has a normal shot before he puts this into the system.

Bog, in my experience it is not unusual to cook up a hit of gear which starts off as a uniform off brown powder mixed with citric acid and sterile water cooked up in a sterile spoon (stericup) only to find that at the end of the cooking process there are tiny black particles in the solution!!! I have had no ill effect up to now(touch wood!! at least in an obvious way,but at the end of the day who really knows what's going on inside your body?)
Anyway back to the topic in hand.....So where exactly do the black bits come from??? I honestly don't know!!? I'm ashamed to say that in my ignorance I've never really even questioned where the black specs actually come from. I guess I've always just accepted they are there without ever wondering why. As do most of the addicts I know. We sometimes identify different batches of gear and associate it with different dealers not only by its appearance in it's powder state but also by it's appearance after being cooked up, eg. 'have you tried that gear so and so's got, you know the one that's really light when it's cooked up with black bits in it?!!!
I am sure someone will enlighten you (and me!!) as to what those black bits really are!! Until then I'll definitely be thinking more about what they are and where they come from....
Take care, Laters Poppy
PS Just re read your post and my reply to it and it seems I understood you wrong (rushing as usual) and that the black bits referred to in your post were still visible AFTER filtering. I have NO
experience of this whatsever, the black bits I was referring to were present in the spoon prior to filtering!!!!!! NOT after!! Sorry if that's caused anyone any bother.

Thanks for the reply. There arent even black bits. The little things are almost seethrough, so one has to look very careful into the vial to see them at all.
When the shot is cooked with ascorbic acid, it is completely clear on the first view. Then it is filtered through the millpore filter into the sterile vial. When SWIM then looks into the vial he sees some of this very tiny, like 1mm long and 1/5th or so of a hair in a diameter things floating around in it.
So they are really tiny and SWIM would say that they are dust. He just wonders because the shot was filtered through this 0.2 ym filter, which should make it completely clear. And since the vial was sterilized it shouldnt contain any particles at all.
So there were no black bits, but only very tiny hair-like particles floating in the shot after filtration. SWIM thinks they are dust and that in a normal shot those would probably be present too. He just wants to be completely sure.
Maybe a bit overcareful. SWIM thinks it wouldnt matter if those are injected cause when a shot is cooked in a spoon and then filtered through a piece of cotton or a cigarette filter, then that wont hold every tiny thing back, too.

What does "to prime" mean? I dont know the vocabulary. I just open the seal (theyre sealed), put the filter on the syringe, then the needle on the other end and press the liquid through...
