Ok so I had some time on my hands and I came up with a fully customizable detox taper chart- you can enter your drug's halflife (expressed in hours, not too exceed 47 because I suck at logarhythms) and your dose per day. It will show you a chart of your dose and base meds in your system- I use this to visualize my taper and see if I'm taking it too slow or fast at any point- it enables me to taper as fast as possible without being uncomfortable.
and here is the link to the spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=p5EBzM7sGBqn-2HsFWQdsMw&hl=en#
Thanks to ZenPunk for the idea.
Here's what the chart looks like:

I wanted it hosted on the web so anyone could post their taper if you want someone else to check it out. Just change the greyed out area, put your doses in there and you are good to go

just wondering to the person who tried the chart out- did it help? Do you have any questions? Your taper could probably go down faster in the middle- once your comfortable on a dose there is no reason to go up
Hope it helps!!!:D

so you guys got logged on ok?
anyone know a better way to publish this, like so people could fuck around with it without a password?
It would be perfect if you could modify it but it would go back to normal after you closed the page.

Yeah with the password and email i was able to just fine. Unfortunately I don't think I understand some of the finer aspects of the chart itself but since I find that bupe seems to leave my system pretty fast and since Im able to get high relatively quickly after taking sub I marked myself for 24 half life. From what I was seeing once you get to the point that your doing .5 to 1mg a day it seems pointless to say....take .5mg then skip a day then take another .5 etc.. Im not sure but it seems that once you get to .5 the best thing to do is just stop altogether. Like I said I don't think I understand some of the finer points.

nah opy i think i just need to make a bupe specific graph so you can see the smaller numbers better. The idea behind it was to show you what effect lowering your dose, skipping a day, or cheating with a high dose has overall on your taper.
The way I use it is to plug in the doses for the first ten days or so of my taper, and see how smooth the total blood levels drop. If there is a spike, I know I can comfortably decrease that days dosage. If there is a sharp drop, i know to increase that days dose so i dont feel like hell.

Question - if you've been on bupe maintenance wouldn't your levels on the first day be "today's dose" plus all those mgs from the half-lives from the doses from the past 8-9 days?
I did a spreadsheet on that once, and I found that after a person's been on bupe for a good 8-9 days and their blood levels are stablized, on any given day the amount in their system is that's day's dose PLUS that day's dose x 2. It works at any level; I've played around with it.
Is that something you accounted for? I'll have to look at the spreadsheet again, maybe you've accounted for it, or maybe it doesn't really matter.
Example: if you normally take 8mg per day, and you decide today's the day you start your taper, aren't you staerting out with 16mgs, not 8? For example, the 8mg dose you took 36 + hours ago is still there, at 4mgs.
Hope you get my drift.... trying to be clear.

Edited to say : not trying to be a smart ass - the chart is really helpful.
