I guessed I really screwed something up bigtime this time. Anyway I quit taking my 24mg daily suboxone cold turkey last week, got some goodies, vicodin and valium. Had some nice buzz all weeklong. However when I ran out and waited in wd before going back on suboxone, I noticed the suboxone was hardly working as good anymore, I had to take 3 or 4 8mg's at once just to keep the wd away and didn't even get hardly any buzz like I used to. This is day 3 of being back on subs and I'm starting to feel a little better but not much. Why does this happen? is it just that I'm such a super junky with a huge opiate tolerance? or is it that there is just no way to avoid some of the wd's from the full agonist even when I start back on the suboxone? last time I relapsed it took a week to feel the full effects of suboxone again and to feel normal again. Damn I wish I could get a hold of some methadone and try it to see if it would work much better than sub before I tie myself to a meth clinic. By the way if I was to tell my sub doc that I'm going to go to methadone, would he allow me back on suboxone if the methadone doesn't work out for me? Thats one main concern I have with switching to methadone.

Hey Opio, you kinda answered your own question there. You said the first time you went off of your subs and went on a little binge, it took you a week to feel back to normal, why would this time be any different. Whenever I make up my mind to take a controlled relapse, when I do have to go back on the subbies, its never a picnic. There is always going to be a couple of uncomfortable days regardless. Thats just the price you have to pay to be able to play.

As for methadone, its a great drug with unbelievable affects. I get so fucked up on that shit, its great. I would never use it as a maintenance drug though. I know I would just end up saving doses for a rainy day, then running out early and going into w/d's. Suboxone is a much more safe and regular maintenance drug for me. It works wonders for a lot of people though. But I wouldnt recommend it, the monkey from H is nothing compared to the gorilla of Meth, this is just what I heard.
