Hey opiophiles, good reading for passing the time...

The January 2006 DEA Microgram Bulletin is out and on the web -

http://www.dea.gov/programs/forensicsci/microgram/mg0106/mg0106.html (http://www.dea.gov/programs/forensicsci/microgram/mg0106/mg0106.html)

Check out the conterfeit oxycontin 80mg tablets that contained fentanyl, not oxycodone. How about that?

It's wild that people actually make shit like that. I'd think they would just cut the fentanyl in powder form and sell it as fentanyl or "china white" or some shit.

That goes to show you just how well the OC brand has been marketed. I'm willing to bet the average person would be more apt to buy fake OCs than they would fent in the form of powdered dope. There is still a strange notion that because it's pharmiceutical that it's somehow not as "bad" or "evil" as dope.

To each his own I guess. Good post.

That is a really cool link! When I have more time, I'm going to check out some of the previous micrograms. Later,

it's interesting to disguise one illegal drug as another illegal drug, heh.

Interesting. I love reading the micrograms, some of the smuggling techniques amaze me.

This is definitely a site I would STRONGLY recommending browsing using Tor rather than an open, unencrypted/unproxied connection.

There's no way that the DEA isn't taking advantage of the Microgram web site's ability to log information for future datamining....

Don't forget this one, folks....Microgram is great info, but protect yourself when you visit any gov site -- esp. the DEA!

I love the MicroGram, been reading it for about 2 years now, they need to update more often, not just every month, surelly there are more drugs out there:D :D !!!!

Come on relax; like they don't already have all the info they need on you. Every site you go too, every time you open port 80 you're giving the world an open door.

Just what do you think they are doing anyway? I'm serious I would really like to know what you think.

Would it be any different then what you watch on TV ( that's tracked) or what you say on the phone.
(you do know that cell and wireless based phone signals are considered "free transmissions" and anyone can listen and use what they hear. And they do.)

BTW did anyone look at the March 2006 one, they were talking about Kratom....we all knew it wouldn't be long.

there has been a couple times at least katrom has been on there, I read them AT MY GIRLS HOUSE every month for years. I do think they track the ip (maby I am parinod) just because well its a GOVERNMENT WEBSITE and with bush renewing the stupid voilate you rights PATRIOT ACT, well why not I would not put that by him tracking web usage. Hell the governemnt wanted it from was it google, at&t, some company and the are going to court over it I think, (might be wrong...dam powders=)

I think as long as members here don't say stupid shit thats too obvious, the gov't is not going to put the money in trying to bring up cases against us.

They'd be scraping the bottom of the barrell if they did.

And you don't think they already put a mole in here looking for some ass with a big mouth?

The last place I worked they had gov't agents trading futures looking for the big brokers doing some illegal shit, couldn't find a thing. The agents were losing 10's of thousands of dollars a day, so they pulled it and arrested some lower traders on bullshit.

point is, as long as people keep things as abstract as possible, and get your stuff from "docs" its just a waste of time and money for the govt.

Heeeey, the moment we've all been waiting for (some of us at least) -

the April 2006 issue of the DEA Microgram -

http://www.dea.gov/programs/forensicsci/microgram/mg0406/mg0406.html

Seems that they found the mysterious source of those mimic OC80 pillls that contained fentanyl instead of oxy in them. these were reported in the Feb. or March issue of the Microgram. Wow, this lab where they were making them is amazing. Wish I was that enterprising. I mean, I wouldn't want to do the time those guys are going to do now, but a fentanyl/ esctasy/ mda lab would be pretty fuckin' nice.

YooHoo, it's here it's here.

Man I know, !!!
Making their own fent :D. Right on.
Each tab had 1.5 mg of fent I'd be pretty pissed if I thought I was necking down a OC 80 and got that, although I would have known by the look of em, NO WAY, could be anything and is certainly not what I want it to be.

How about the hash inside the weed :sad-smile where's mine?????

You're right....but why take unnecessary risks when there are trivially easy precautions that can be taken? That's all I meant to suggest by my posts above.
