Bupe & UA's

Hey All,

Just started bupe treatment and was wondering if it shows on a UA? I'm guessing it would be a simple 5 or 7 panel screen for a job. I am not changing jobs, but just curious. I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

I have looked online here, Erowid, and several other boards, but I get a 50/50 split - the "yes since it is a partial opiate" -OR- "no since it is synthetic", so now I turn to my fellow o-philes for the truth. :) Also, this may be a stupid/ already answered question, but do the synthetic opiods (oxy/roxi/hydro/morphones) show on the same 5/7 panel UA? Erowid says not likely, but would like to hear some personal experiences.

Bupe does not show up on UA's, if it did how would they be able to tell if you were doing opiates and cheating the system :)

Good point, I guess they wouldn't. So by using my high deductive power of reasoning, all the other synthetics show on the UA, correct? ;-)

Betty, as far as I know they would have to run a very specific test to find it in your UA. The standard panel tests do not show it; that's what I was told by a doc who prescribes bupe. He's a pretty straight shooter and he'd have no reason to lie to me... about that anyway.

I did the same research and found the answers split 50/50 as well, all I have to worry about is a 5-panel test, what's the verdict on if it shows there?

My verdict is that bupe won't show in a five-panel.

I assume you don't have a script, or maybe just don't want the whole world at your job to know you're on bupe? Since if you have a script, legally they shouldn't be able to do anything ..... I could explain more (I know a fair about of the legal aspects of employment) if you want.

i'm on bupe maintenance and my doc does a UA on me...obv no bupe shows up
i thought this was pretty common knowledge, acually,,, bupe doesnt show on drug tests nless they are VERY specific ones (really only a bupe doc would test for bupe to make sure ur not using fake/someone elses piss)

Oxy has to be tested for specifiacally just like methadone and fentanyl does. Dilauded will test positive for opiates though. Most instant tests do test for Oxy know as it has become ever more popular.
