I would like to Cut and Paste part of some Text from a article on another website and post it in a New Thread on this Site, but when I try and highlight the Paragraph in the article from another Site , it wont Highlight . Is this something that cant be done or is there a trick to it ? Can somebody enlighten me:D ?

Yes, It is called "How Do I...?" and you're asking "How do I...?" right? Usually if you can't highlight with the cursor and clicking its a non writable pdf or any other of the numerous non writable type files. Usually that works best with text/doc files and such. You can often just use control/a for the select all option then copy/paste that and cut all the crap you don't want after pasting it into the text function of the thread/post reply.

Hey Robo, Thanks for the quick reply ! I tried doing it a couple times and apparrently the File is to large to transfer to the Opio Attachment Download Area ! So , I probably will just type it out which I probably could have done 10 times by now , But I sorta wanted to learn how to do it by Copy& Paste so I could learn someting, which seems like it should be simple and intuitive but ,I have never worked with Files and such so I dont feel like a complete fool :p.

i just wanna add... be careful about violating any copyright issues that may be involved. maybe you should just write a little something in your own words giving us the gist of it, then include a link to the page where we can read the article.

Right, be sure to give credit to the original author or at the very least use the quote button up top there in the tool bar to wrap quotes around the text you are copying.

As always, our Opio Ladies are on the ball.
If we see articles copied and pasted from another site onto Opiophile, we reserve the right to delete the said article and provide only a link to the website instead.
We're just trying to protect Opio from copyright infringement issues.

highlight. cntrl C. destination area, then Cntrl V
this is a workaround for some sites that dont allow dropdown c and p.
others, like sn0p3s.com (substitute the 0 with an o and the 3 with an e) i havent figured out.

Actually, disabling Javascript is a security enhancement although (it can be) a functionality impairment. Just turn JS back on when you're done ripping content and keep your browser up to date on patches, oh and don't use IE unless you absolutely have to :)
