Here's a question for you, How do you go about shutting
down a corupt police department or county prison for
that matter? I live near Phila. PA and the coruptness
of the police even made it into the Philadelphia
Enquirer. If you want to read it go to thier website
and search archives under " No Mere Nuisance "
It's pretty outragious and the prison is as corupt
as a $3 dollar bill. I would like to stay anonymous
so this might be hard, right?

i could have sworn i posed on this, anywho, go to the media, go to the police depts INternal Affairs devision (if they are large enough to have one) if its a smal hick dept then forget about it.
theres a town here that has 2 cops, they bust every drug user there, and let drunks go, hell they plow the road in front of the bar first before any other road lol. how fucked up is that.

The media are on it, kinda, maybe there missing the big picture
such as the prison. But then it's hard to make people care
about people being miss-treated in a prison. All the Neo-
Cons think arghh arghh arghh its prison right? They don't have
rights anyway. :jumping-s

It'd be pretty hard to fight a whole city's police department. I'd say your best bet is the media and/or internal affairs, which was already mentioned. You need to get the public involved so it's not just you vs. the police department but the whole public vs. the police. You also need to go above the department's heads and get internal affairs or something similar to that to get into the department and investigate the corruption. Good luck and keep us updated! :)

Sappy moment of the day...
It takes one person to move mountains.
If this is something you truly care about, start a website, start a letter-writting campaign, call ever news paper and show within a hundred mile radius. Get the message out there.

^^^ Right on!
Check the local newspapers also... ours has a section for the public to write out and send in 'editorials' or whatever they're called. Of course, you have to word things right or the editor won't print it... but it gets the word out to many and it's absolutely free. :)

You can use Meetup.org or Craigslist to get people together to discuss the situation, plan action, and execute.
Always remember to stay positive and committed to you goal. If there's anything we can do here, I'm sure we'd be up for it.

or u can let the big wig law enforcement like the state cops, the attny general , the fbi even. just run ur mouth, if it takes 20 calls a day DO IT, its worth it. theres a crack dealer in town that has cops on his payroll which isn't anything new. every one else gets busted, and and made to be "an example to others", so they get railroaded by charges and do serious time, and this dude sits in his caddie and does not get a fucking fine for a broken tail light if hes pulled over. its sad.
