I myself try to discourage that whole "fifteen year old mentality" that some of these idiots have...it takes away the serious need that some people have for this site, where they can talk about something others have no understanding of, witout being patronized, and when others treat it as some kind of bad joke, without realizing there are people on here with lifetimes of Intravenous drug addiction behind them, that really appreciate a site where they aren't condescended to...

If u really are shooting up Ambien, u need to get help for mental illness. If u'r trying to make a joke, it fell flat...some of us have spent many years--for good or ill--coping with intervenous drug use, heroin or dilaudids, now oxycontin and other pills...

errrr yeeeeah i wasnt joking.. i deffinetly ived 20mg of ambien about 6 hours ago. I feel fine now, its 4.18am about to go do cardio on an empty stomache, then have my first meal and sleep again before training deltoids. I'm not an idiot, far, far, from it in fact. Lots of people shoot ambien, honestly, its got a good rush and i was in deep deep sleep in about 5 minutes. Keep in mind this is after exhausting a plethora of medication with no insomnia relief. You get desperate, and after kicking a 90mg IV morphine habit a day, naturally the needle fixation is still lingering, you of all people should know that. Thanks DF for atlest giving me some what of the benefit of the doubt.

Ya, I have injected ambien before, and it will definitly knock you out within minutes. Its pretty trippy when you inject it. Other than heroin, I would recommend IV ambien if you want something to put you to sleep right away.

Alright...I didn't want u to feel bad about it: we know we have a lot of lurkers, some kids, idiots, and they'll be IVing Ibuprofen next ... so we sometimes crash down on tentative posts about IVing non-opiates, as some of them can kill, and people on here are liable to say they've done something they haven't, just to see if it can be done...

But point taken...and I'm a needle addict at least as much as opiates, which is why the liquid methadone forced on me in USA is so disheartening when I read about other countries who allow addicts injectable methadone, and they talk about it in pretty positive terms...

How fast does this shit hit you? I mean, do you pretty much wake up with a needle in your arm or what? Have you even tried taking ambien or other sleep aids by mouth? I find it hard to believe, that the only thing that works is IV...

Ambien has very good bioavailability it comes on fast.

I like needles but there is no need to iv Ambien.


Every once in a while if I really have trouble sleeping I will have one drink and one Ambien and that combo works pretty good with a low tolerance I usually wake up on the floor about six hours later.

Ambien (and I might add other modern type sleep drugs) are not real good in large doses, there is limited euphoria and all you get with increased dosage is amnesia and possible bad craziness.

There was a big difference for me between IV ambien and eating ambien. When I have eaten ambien, it took about 20min to really take effect, and it would kind of help me sleep. When IV'ed, ambien hits me in 30 seconds, and it feels like being really drunk but in a good way, and I can fall asleep instantly if I lay down and close my eyes.

Hell, there are three tabs (PO, not IV) that do the biz better than any; get scripted! Firstly, midazolam (Flormidal, Dormicum, 15mg). Probably Flormidal is the strongest benzo I ever had. Flunitrazepam, though I believe that you can't get 2mg strength in the USA any more... and lormetazepam. Any of these will knock you out without resorting to needles. I have seen too many people with lost limbs and lost lives through IV-ing tablets. If they were meant for IV use they would come in amps. And just look at the Patient Info Leaflets, you'll see what kind of stuff you're putting into your veins (about 90% of the whole) along with the tiny amount of active ingredient!
About 20 years ago, there was a HUGE problem with people banging up Diconal (dipipanone and cyclizine). Hell, two of those are plenty by mouth, and that's why you see so many people in their 50s with no legs, zooming around in their electric wheelchairs. I lost SO many good mates to IV Diconal it's untrue. Then there were the liquid-filled temazepam caps. They had much the same effect on the following generation. Just wondering if Subutex is going to be the next limb-loser.

ambien usually doesnt do SHIT for me, i've literally taken 20mg and said fuck it and gone to the gym and trained back at 4am. Shooting up 30mg or whatever i did it hit me fast, i was out of kpin and needed to go down, my needle fixation and quiting of the opies didnt help.
