Delta-9 T.H.C. sub-lingual spray

I was recently offered something called "Sativex". It is a sub-lingual spray containing Delta-9 T.H.C. and another cannabinoid drug. Apparently it is helpful for nerve-pain. I have had some unhappy experiences with weed in the past so I have not said yes to it yet. Does anyone have any experience with this drug?

I have decided to try it. I have to make an appt with the guy, I just hope he remembers offering it to me so it won't look bad when I ask for it. From what I can tell this doc is a pretty nice guy, he asked me how many percs I was taking at once when I was scripted them. I was honest and told him 8, he had no problem with this and offered me ms contin, oxy contin, or hydromorph contin. I took the dilaudid, he gives me 3 12mg per day and 8mg ir up to 4 times daily. I think that I have hit the jackpot.:D

I guess this stuff is pretty strong as is, it has 27mg of d9thc per ml and a good amount of the other drug as well, I just can't remember what it is called.

Yea, it's called Marinol. From what I have heard, having never taken it myself, the buzz is not like weed at all. It basically makes you hungry and tried like shitty brown Mexican bud.

My ex-fiance had this shit for her CHron's disease.. SHe got a SHITLOAD of `em each month- (like 6 or 8 10mgs a DAY) I kid you not.

The pharm. bottle was HUGE! I can't believe her insurance covered it. Marinol is expensive. They are browns, beige's, and finally oranges (the 10mgs) and we had SO MANY OF THESE we seriously used to feed them to our CAT just for the shits and giggles of it (please no animal abuse lectures, the cat loved it!)

In MY experience (and we used to pop `em a handful at a time, seriously!) they make you HUNGRY and TIRED as FUCK. Not really a "weed high" per say. You could literally go through your entire fridge in like.. an hour. It was downright silly.

After you were done literally GORGING yourself on every last edible piece of food in your house, you would lay down and assssssssssss for like.. uh.. yeah... huh huh.. heh heh.. ... ...... like, wow man.. what was I saying?

Oh yeah you would ass for like 10+ hours. I shit you NOT.

I will say this about Marinol: they were fucking GREAT if you had weed to smoke WITH them.. and they complimented her OC 40's... very very nice.

4 x 40mg OCs (daily)
2 x 10mg percs (daily)
6-8 Marinol 10mgs (daily)
2 x 10mg Valium (daily) (for anxiety)
1 x 10 roxi (for break-through) as needed (every other day)
1 x adderall 10mg (daily) ((for "add"))
1 x Ambien 10mg (daily) ((to sleep from the "adderall")
1 x 2mg Kolonipin (10 a month) ((for "acute" painic attacks))

she had a pain management doc for the percs, the ocs, and the roxis...
she had a Chron's doc for the marinol and the valiums
she had a psych. doc for...EVERYTHING else.

I wish I was kidding.

This stuff isn't marinol, it's sativex. Marinol is a pill, sativex is a spray and the ingredients are different.

So my curiosity has been struck here. Quite a few years ago, a good friend of mine was working in the "botanical extraction" industry, extracting botanicals and what not for natural remedies, making tinctures and crystalline pills, all that good stuff. But anyhow, he combined his botany and chemistry skills and made a "weed tincture". I'm not real sure what the method was, but he took a good amount of high grade pot and made a tincture out of it, and you just dropped a few drops under the tongue and is was like smoking a whole blunt of chronic, just totally blasted!

I wonder if this stuff isn't the same kind of thing, or if this stuff you (Irish) are talking about or if it's straight synthetic. I can't wait for the report though!

Oh, and I know a handful of people with nerve pain and they say the only thing that maintains it is smoking the reefer.

sativex is actually quite like that. marinol has 1 active ingredient, THC, and its used orally. sativex has 2 active ingredients, THC & CBD (CBD is a cannabinoid that most people think mixed with THC is responsible for most of pots effects, take THC or CBD alone, and you're not really at where you'd be smoking a joint, but mix THC and CBD, and your pretty damn close). plus sativex is used sublingually, not orally, so it hits you quicker as well. sativex is a pretty badass thing. i wish i was prescribed dilaudid and sativex - i would be set for life :( PS, yes, im a (former) big time pothead. use to have buddies who grew top notch hydroponic shit (skunk-berry strain, to be exact), and i use to sell it myself. god i was the definition of pothead (without the hippy and bob marley and phish bullshit, i was more of an "independent" pothead, not a stereotypical one, if that makes sense.)

yep, marinol is not so good because its missing the CBD, CBD and THC are the two main things in weed that you want.

hell yes, my friend. true polydrug abuse at its finest. i always liked to prep a speedball, prep up a joint, and grab a beer. inject the speedball, then immediately, while still rushing, light up the joint nad inhale and hold in and you get this MASSIVE rush from the speedball combined with the potsmoke/lack of oxygen. (it must be fucking dangerous, but damn what a rush). then, as you exhale the weedsmoke, crack the beer and chug back. mmm, goodtimes.
