So I went to the dental clinic today to get this Wisdom Tooth pulled out. What does the doc write me, a helluva huge script of 10 5/500 tabs. Right when I was leaving the office he told me "I don't expect there to be much pain but i'll write you a script for a few days supply".

Well I'll tell you what, I don't know what was different from this tooth than the last Wisdom Tooth I had pulled but this one hurts like a mother fucker. Whats really weird is the last time I went to the same clinic the Dr was at least decent enough to script me for 12 76.5's. The tooth hurts so bad and I have enough tolerence that it takes at least 25 mg's of hydro to even touch the pain. Now I am in a bad situation, these pills won't even last me through the afternoon let alone the night.

Honestly, I am really in pain and this thing they sent me home with says "if the medicine prescribed to you isn't making you comfortable please give us a call" seems like a pretty open invitation to me to call them back to some more meds.

The thing is do you think I should call them today? I am sure I could survive the night with these but I almost think it would be better to call them back today and just say it hurts so much worst than the last one and these pills aren't working for the pain at all and maybe mention that the pills the last Dentist gave me worked a lot better. I'll act like I don't even know what they were and see if they can look them up in the records etc.

Please guys give me some suggestions here. I was expecting to at least to get two days worth of meds. 12 7.5's would have held the W/D's at bay long enough until I can get something else but 50 MG's of hydrocodone just isn't going to cut it. I don't want to be in W/D's with a fucking socket hurting like hell. Think about the misery of W/D's and tooth pain. I wasn't even expecting the tooth to hurt this bad, I was just expecting to have a little discomfort and some pills to tide me over. I guess using up you're supply with anticipation of a Dr giving you at least the equilivent of what you received last time was a bad idea.

I'm in quite a pickle.

I called them back and I never really said anything about getting a high dose of pain meds. I asked them if I could double up on what I had now and they said yes and they kept pushing me to come back in, I got the vibe that they wouldn't call me in anything else.

The actual dental clinic says that they close at 4 PM and it's flooding like hell here so there was no way possible I could make it back in there today. They understood this but didn't offer me anything else. There is however an after hours number that you can call right on the sheet it says there is a dental resident on call. It's a long shot but I think I am going to try to call them and see if they can somehow get me something called in that is stronger. When I had kidney stones and went through this same hospital I always had luck by calling this number, you never actually have to speak to a Dr just some nurses that I am sure get calls like this all day.

I guess we will see what happens but it's not looking good. I would considering calling back into the office right now and asking them for something stronger but that would probably look horrible.

It's looking like a shitty couple of days comming up for me.

told you to go to a diff clinic. if u dont get good results at one place move on to the next. thats the rule of thumb usually. people dont change at those places they are stuck in their ways. and with the way the dea is on docs these days its no wonder. a normal person 10 vicodins prob would last them that much . my bro had all 4 of his wisdom teeth out he took 6 vicodin out of 30.
