I have a whole bunch of 30mg Talwin amps. What is your opinion of them? Would you mix them with Oxys or is that too much. No ODing please.

No ODing please.
Indeed! We can't have that shit happening on our fucking watch, my brother!
Talwin. This is one of those exotics that I really should know a bunch about, and have tried....but alas. No.
I'm off to Google/Bluelight/RXList/Erowid to see what I can dig up. I will try to follow up on anything else posted to this thread as well.

SIDE EFFECTS
Cardiovascular: Hypotension, tachycardia, syncope.
Respiratory: Rarely, respiratory depression.
Acute CNS Manifestations: Patients receiving therapeutic doses of pentazocine have experienced hallucinations (usually visual), disorientation, and confusion which have cleared spontaneously within a period of hours. The mechanism of this reaction is not known. Such patients should be closely observed and vital signs checked. If the drug is reinstituted it should be done with caution since these acute CNS manifestations may recur.
Other CNS Effects: Dizziness, lightheadedness, hallucinations, sedation, euphoria, headache, confusion, disorientation; infrequently weakness, disturbed dreams, insomnia, syncope, visual blurring and focusing difficulty, depression; and rarely tremor, irritability, excitement, tinnitus.
Autonomic: Sweating; infrequently flushing; and rarely chills.
Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, anorexia, rarely abdominal distress.
AKA- Fuck that shit!

Boy I've done my share of Talwin. I used to get the tablets (50mg. I think...) about 20 odd years ago, and back then I loved the shit. You can't shoot them because they put Naloxone in them specifically to stop people from shooting them, but the amps are made for that purpose though I've never had those. From what I remember, it was a hell of a lot better than codeine or Darvon, but not near as good as, say Oxycodone or Demerol. If you're gonna try it, DON'T mix it with Oxy or anything for that matter, I've heard some bad stories about people doing that. I'd just shoot one or two and see how I felt. Hell, if you don't like it you don't have to do it anymore! But anyway, Talwin is really best when you don't have a habit and you have a low tolerance, otherwise you probably won't like it.

I asked this same question about a couple of weeks ago, anyways, I went home during my lunch break and shot up 90mg IM. I was just driving back to work when all of a sudden I was literally drunk. I remember getting out of the parking garage, walking back to work thinking, "I cant believe I am actually walking right now." I had no control over my motor-skills, yet I was walking back to work. Stuff is crazy, I had to fake a sickness to go home and sleep it off. I havnt touched the shit since.
It wasnt all that euphoric for me at least. I think I just did too much the 1st time, thus I didnt like it. I usually have contol over my self when Im on opiates, but not on 90mg of Talwin IM!!!!!

Well, if anyone has any Talwin they aren't going to use, I can always find a place in my chronic pain toolbox for a few tablets/ampoules! :D

I know this is an old thread, but if I may ask...it seems the general consensus is that Talwin is not that thrilling on its own, but is a decent w/d aid?
